Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Maine.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“My husband, 11 month old, and I stopped in for the last weekend of pick-your-own apples & had a wonderful time! The friendly, knowledgeable staff were helpful, answered all of our questions, and guided us where to go. The apples were beautiful, easy to access, and delicious. They offer many varieties of apples such as cortland, macoun, red and yellow delicious, and more. Their farm stand has apples for sale that have already been picked along with cider, apple pies, a variety of whoopie pies, etc. We are looking forward to coming back for some cross-country skiing.”

“Apple pickin’ at Five Fields Farm in Bridgton, Maine = Trip Highlight 🍎 The photos online don’t really show all the beauty. You have to see it for yourself. The owners were the most wholesome people and have created a truly special place. After giving us instructions for pickin’, our 3 year old declared “I don’t think I can handle all of that.” She figured it out and ended up eating atleast 8 apples this day 🤣 We just purchased a second home in Vermont. This will surely be a seasonal road trip each year.”

“Absolutely love this Orchard! I have been coming here for over 20 years since I was a little kid, and it never ceases to amaze me. Sought out the Macintosh Apples on this occasion. The selection was wonderful. All perfectly ripe! Great place to bring the kids, a date, or start a family tradition.”

“Beautiful views, Apple picking, lots of pumpkins and bags and bags of apples including Macoun in early October. Best bag? The Apple pie bag that has a mix of Cortland, Macs and others for the perfect pie! There are also restrooms available and plenty of parking.”

“Such a beautiful orchard! Views are absolutely stunning. All of the produce and baked goods are so fresh and tasty. The staff were so sweet and friendly! Prices are very reasonable as well. Will definitely be coming back next year!”

“Fresh and fun. Very good assortment of apples to pick. Pleasant vibe. Not crowded. Linda does a great job maintaining the fields. Very nice views. No fuss. Pick as little or as much as you want. Various size bushel bags.”

“Great local family owned orchard with good selection of pick your own apples. We look forward to visiting every year. Nice hiking trails nearby at Bald Pate Mountain to combine a walk with apple picking.”

“What a beautiful orchard to visit. The view was incredible as you can see for miles while picking. Staff were friendly, apples were delicious and even when busy, there was plenty of apples and space for all. The only thing I hope to see the next time is more picker tools. Sadly, I located one and it only had one prong remaining which makes for a very comical picking experience. Thanks for the great memories and wonderful apples!”
