“Surprised my friend with a goat hike today and had a great time! Aidan is truly a mother to her well cared for, friendly herd. She is extremely knowledgeable and it was great to have that passion shared with us. I would call this more of a “walking goat tour” lol. The walk was very easy and would be manageable for a wide variety of people of all ages as the terrain is flat and soft. Aidan set a gentle pace and, as someone who just had a baby, it was a pain free meander. This was a nice way to get fresh air while spending time with one another. You are offered walk with a goat on a leash but we were content with occasionally holding them and mostly letting them walk along with us and graze. Great property and a lot of love clearly around. Thank you, Aidan!”

“Gather Farm is Community Supported Agriculture, where you invest in the farm at the beginning of the year, and then receive your share of crops on a weekly basis during the growing season. We joined the farm last year, and found it to be not just an investment in fresh food, but also a peaceful, welcoming community in these difficult times. There are additional events throughout the year, and CSA members are welcome just to visit the farm, have a walk around the labyrinth, and say hello to the Gather Goats! My wife and I were interested in getting better food, and ended up with so much more. Good food, good friends, more nature, less stress!”

“Just amazing! We had our son’s 5th birthday party here yesterday with 15 kids and about 20 adults. Elizabeth and co. were unbelievably accommodating, kind, and helpful. The kids had a blast and so many parents said it was the best kids party they’ve ever been to. Kids were able to play in the playground, plant and paint pots, make seed balls, and enjoy nature! They brought in delicious pizza from Rosa Mia hot and on schedule, provided refrigerators, freezer, ice and everything else we might need. They also had their homemade ice cream for sale which was a huge hit. If you’re considering having a party here, look no further!!”

“We were missing the goats and folks at Simmons farm but discovered some of them had moved closer to us! Was excited to discover we could still go pet the babies because that was our favorite early spring activity. It’s much smaller and there are only a few animals, but it’s also less busy and it was nice to have the place almost to ourselves. The goats were all super sweet and obviously well loved and taken care of. We’ll probably be back for some hikes once the weather warms up!”

“Aiden and the goats are amazing! Spent a lovely and informative Sunday morning on a leisurely hike that makes one feel like you are far-removed from the nearby urban sprawl. The goats are very entertaining with their antics, yet Aiden is clearly the dominant alpha in the herd, as they respond quickly to her commands and directions. It was an interesting and educational experience to learn the history of goats and their human connection. Will definitely return for another visit!”

“My girlfriend surprised me by bringing me here on easter Sunday and it was amazing. Goats were super super cute, very affectionate and lovely. I went wearing white pants and expected to come back dirty but was left completely clean after even having a goat in my lap and it raining that day. Just saying incase people are scared about getting dirty, don’t be. Aidan was super charismatic and friendly and you could tell they really cared about the goats!!”

“Come here for a fun and informative goat hike, delicious home made ice cream and super friendly owners and farmers! I found this incredible, farmland oasis in Johnston today - went on a morning goat hike - and headed back in the afternoon for ice cream. It is hidden gem. Already planning to go back again with family and friends so they can experience it too!”

“Visited for the first time today for a goat hike with Aidan and had a wonderful experience!! Didn’t get a chance to try some ice cream or check out the labyrinth but definitely want to do both next time. Everyone we met was so nice, can’t wait to return!”
