Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Rhode Island.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“I feel beyond lucky to have found and had my son accepted into the Pumpkin Patch. The teachers and staff care - like really truly care and want nothing but the best for the students. They even made sure to open in the middle of this years blizzard while other places remained closed. Ms. Amy and Ms. Kerri are always around and available to support the kids and the rest of the staff. The whole place is organized, cheerful, and encouraging. My son went from dreading school and needing to be dragged into his previous preschool to coming home calm, proud and feeling like a part of the community. The amount of growth he has made emotionally and academically within just months of attending is truthfully astonishing. The role of his teachers, Ms Emily and Ms Cara can not be overstated as they have gone out of their way to know and understand him along with caring and cheering him on everyday. He has found a passion for learning and school that will be with him throughout the rest of his life. Attending the Pumpkin Patch has been a gift to our whole family and we will forever be grateful for our time there.”

“Choosing a daycare for your child is one of the biggest decisions a parent can make, and I can honestly say enrolling Isabella here has been one of the best decisions for our family. From day one, the staff has shown her so much love, patience, and genuine care. She has grown so much during her time here, and it brings me so much joy seeing how happy she is every day. She has truly flourished in such a nurturing environment. Thank you for pouring so much love into Isabella and for creating a place where she feels safe, happy, and excited to learn. As a parent, there’s no greater comfort than knowing your child is surrounded by people who truly care. We are beyond grateful for all the joy, love, and happiness you’ve brought into her life.”

“My daughter has been attending for a couple months. We love the teachers and administrators. She is very well cared for! Clear and consistent communication with parents. Secure, organized & spotlessly cleaned. Highly recommend!”

“So impressed with the school! The teachers are kind, attentive, and so wonderful with the kids. The curriculum is excellent… I am so amazed at how much my daughter has learned in one year. I’d recommend this preschool to anyone.”
