What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Kansas, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kansas.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“This is way out of town, but worth the drive. We spent a very pleasant 3 hr afternoon here on Saturday. Live music shady outdoor seating. There is a big grassy area for the kids to romp and also corn hole. To the wine: they asked sweet or dry. I said neither, I love a deep plumy red. The head server asked me to try a few. I picked one I liked and asked him to pick the rest. A very wise decision. I loved all of them, and each one was very unique. There are 3 flights to choose from, but you can only pick 4 at a time. You can pick from each list if you like. The pours are generous. Oddly, my favorite ended up being the Chloe cuvee, a white that was not acidic. They also serve food and charcuterie boards. Highly recommend!”

“We had the most wonderful experience at this winery that I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve gone through several different wineries and several different states and you guys are the most knowledgeable and have the most kind people they’re working for you guys. Teresa took our photos for us and she was so helpful with her knowledge about the wines that we sampled because of her we also became members and I’m so proud to become a member and I cannot wait to be able to come help grapes for wine and to come to the family dinners And sample new wines. It’s gonna be so exciting.”

“I had been wanting to go for ages and finally made it (in town for work). I was pleasantly surprised at the prices and that I liked every single wine I tried. $10 for a tasting of 6 wines - I tried the dry selection and 1 sweet seasonal wine- watermelon mint. All their wines are grape based and from Kansas. I enjoyed the tasting and nice chat with the staff, then a glass outside on the patio listening to music. Live music Fridays and Saturdays and jazz Sundays. Best winery experience in a long while.”

“Grace Hill Winery is one of the best wineries I have been to! The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable! Everything from the tastings, the wine, food etc is not only amazing but also affordable! The winery itself is absolutely beautiful, and they are happy to let you walk around and check everything out, even the vineyard! A must go if you're in the area! Highly recommended!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Such a sweet little winery just outside of Wichita! The wines stray on the sweet side, but there are some dryer options that taste lovely! They regularly have events and live music. I highly recommend helping with the harvest in the late summer/fall, it's very fun to be a part of operations and see the literal fruits of your labor. Their outdoor spaces are so nice for loving and enjoying a sip.”

“Yesterday we went to the Grape Harvest. It was so much fun being a part the event. It was $12 and included the grape picking, behind the scenes tour, lunch, wine tasting, and even 20% discount on merchandise. The family who owns and runs the vineyard were on site and showed the highest level of gratitude and hospitality. This vineyard is more than a tasting room… it’s an experience ❤️”

“Grace Hill is always a fun & beautiful place, 4th time out enjoying wine, spirits, food, & good company full of memories! Couldn’t ask for a better 36th Birthday! And Teresa GIRL we loved and enjoyed your beautiful soul, you are amazing✨”

“A group of us attended a special event at the winery, a 5 course lunch, each course paired with 2 of their different wines. It was a wonderful experience. Very nice hosts, delicious food and we all discovered our favorite wines. Of course, we purchased a few bottles before we left. I definitely recommend this venue and we'll be coming back as they announce future events.”
