Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Virginia.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Finally, we made it back to Great Bridge Pumpkin patch this year❤️we love the new location, so much bigger, has a farm feel to it than before ! I guess for us , the entrance fee was not as expensive as what others charge since we paid that much for ONE hour of indoor trampoline time for my kiddos and had to drag them out pouting. I can’t even compare the amount of time my kids had fun bouncing and sliding at GBPP. We even had lunch for 5 of us under $35 ( hotdog and burgers were so much cheaper comparing to other places) My kids made friends, they run around in an open field freely playing hide and seek, tag, and even searched for cool insects , enjoyed the baby chicks, hayride, and face paint 😍. Great fall festive atmosphere! yes seating area was first come bases unless you reserve it for birthdays so bring one of those folded chairs if your kids are bigger and you don’t need to chase behind them. We brought picnic blanket with some light snacks so we pretty much camped in there the whole day😊.”

“I love coming back to the Great Bridge pumpkin patch year after year. My kids absolutely love this place.😍 The price is reasonable for a day-long pass and for my children to have access to all the bounces. The new location is so much bigger than the last. I love how the area is more secluded than the previous one, where it was right next to a busy street. And the staff is super friendly and welcoming. We had lunch there for the five of us, and the total came out to be too close to $35, which is a lot cheaper than other places that like to charge $5 for a single water bottle. My kids make so many friends every time they go to the pumpkin patch, and they love to spend the whole day there (which means less screen time). There are seats, but it's on a first-come come first-served basis, which is not a problem. We just brought our chairs, and we camped there the whole day while our kids had fun. I look forward to seeing the pumpkin patch again next year!!”

“We had such a great time at the Great Bridge Pumpkin Patch! There’s so much for families to enjoy! From the inflatables and slides to the hayrides and pumpkin picking. It’s the perfect spot to get into the fall spirit and make some memories. The staff were friendly, everything was clean and well organized, and there was plenty for both kids and adults to do. We’ve gone before when they had the haunted woods, and even though they don’t do that anymore, it’s still such a fun, family-friendly place to visit every year!”

“We drove down to Great Bridge Pumpkin Patch in Chesapeake and spent the day there, it was such a fun experience! My daughter absolutely loved the slides and the kids’ area. She could’ve stayed there all day! We picked out our pumpkins, which were a great price, and the new location is beautiful and easy to enjoy. This will definitely be our new fall tradition every year! 🎃🍁”

“Nice place. There was a scary woods experience that we did not do. Entry into the inflatables was $15 per kid for unlimited use. It’s a little steep if you are only going to do one or 2 but pretty good deal if you have some time to spend there and kids are the right age. Great selection of pumpkins, prices at 60 cents a pound. Nice folks working there.”

“So fun!! We went on a semi rainy day but our fun wasn't spoiled! The place wasn't very busy and it was cool enough to keep the kids playing for about 2 hours!”

“I really don’t know how the Great Bridge Pumpkin Page has 4.3 stars. For what is here, it is really expensive, $22 a kid with tax. And for what, basically 5 slides and a few bounce houses. 15 minutes and the kids were board. There is only one sitting area and it is away from the slides so hard to see the kids. No drinks, tables, food or anything that used to be here. We should have guessed something was wrong when we pulled up and there was only about ten cars. Very disappointing and way overpriced for the minimal amount of things for the kids to do. Sorry, this will be our last trip to the GB Pumpkin Patch.”
