Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Great experience bringing my child for the Easter event. Lots of activities were offered and I felt the price point was excellent for what we received. The farm itself was clean and activites were availble in many diferent areas. Each of the activities were very organized, especially the egg hunt. Each child had their own lane with eggs and candy at the end to place into their baskets. It was fun because the kids got to race and it was extremely fair. Each child raced to the end of their lane and there was no pushing, no disorganization and especially no tears because every child got their own eggs. After the children were finished they went to take pictures with the Easter bunny. The person in the bunny costume was nice, hugged the kids and seemed happy to be there. They have a play area with some tractors and tires, two different slide areas, cows, goats, llamas, bunnies and horses to feed (lettuce bunch was $6 extra-bring cash), a handful of nice photo ops. There were also a few food trucks, nit sure what they offered as we had brought our own snacks. It was the perfect day and my son had a great time. We will be back next year for sure!”

“We came here for a field trip with our 2nd grade classes and had a fantastic time. The check in process and guidance for the buses was organized and clear, and there were plenty of activities for all the students to do such as archery, petting and feeding the animals, and playgrounds. Additionally, the performances they had were optional and perfectly engaging and well-timed for the kids (no more than 15 minutes). We spent two hours there and the children were never once bored. Would high recommend for any educators!”

“We had a great time. I was very apprehensive as i had a horrible experience at the Brooklyn location last year. But the up there game at this Queens satellite location. The only disappointment was the quick unbumpy hayride! But honestly that all we had time for because we left it for last as it had very long line upon arrival. However, the kids discovered there was a playground nearby that we missed (it wasn't actually part of the farm offering).”

“We had a wonderful time during our recent school trip. It offered a delightful seasonal cultural experience that was both fun and engaging for everyone. The opportunity to play outdoors and interact with the animals, including feeding and petting them, was a highlight. We especially appreciated the convenience of the free parking available. It was a truly memorable and enjoyable outing for all involved.”

“It's was a great experience for my little one, so many activities for kids, unfortunately I purchase a ticket for my toddler, for the egg hunting but couldn't find which one he had to go in. But surely will come again. Thank you 🙏❤️”

“Loved Green Meadows Farm. Easy to reach, nice parking, petting Zoo, seven Animals 👏 Wow!! Chickens, Rabbits, pigs, cows, Alpaca, Sheeps, DINOSAURS 😆 🤣. Dinosour show was awesome. The kids had a blast. Slides, nice places to take photos, tractors, large tires to climb in, a large Pumpkin 🎃 Patch. Reasonable snacks. No apples though or apple cider donuts.”

“Fun place for kids. Not too overwhelming just enough to do for a city school trip. They seem as if they over book though can get crowded and in my opinion with so many smaller aged children that visit they should have rules in place for the older middle school aged students that are allowed to run around with no regard to the smaller children around them ..my kinders nearly got knocked down more than once.”

“I’m very disappointed with this farm. The animals appear to be misfed, the cows and the horse look extremely thin, and it’s upsetting to see. It’s also uncomfortable having children ask questions about why the animals look this way. Please make sure that any animals brought here in the future are properly cared for and well fed.”
