What you can pick

In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for New York, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

What visitors say

“Raspberry is an excellent local grocer with a strong focus on Italian offerings. My husband and I consistently appreciate their seasonal selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, often displayed outdoors. The quality, variety, and pricing of their fall apples are particularly impressive, and, in our experience, unmatched in the NYC area. We also make regular visits for their homemade pizza dough (available in the refrigerated section), fresh basil, and a range of produce. In addition to these, the store offers a well-curated selection of Italian snacks, antipasti, breads, and meats, making it a great one-stop shop for quality ingredients.”

“Local supermarket carrying some hard to find Italian and Greek specialties at affordable prices. You can also get some very good deals on produce here but you must sift through as not every item is Whole Foods quality. They also have all your typical items and have a nice Italian deli. They have a nice bakery session with fresh breads. I typically come to see the deals for berries/grapes/seasonal produce. I also come for olive oil. You can find Greek/Italian EVOO for $20/3 liter. Also the Italian imported dry pastas are reasonable ($3 for Rummo). Definitely worth a visit.”

“They have some great items that you can't find other places and their prices are good too. The help, especially the cashier's, always seem to be miserable. I literally tried to speak to one lady and have a conversation and she just ignored me. Didn't even make eye contact. When I was done I said, "thank you, have a good day.". Nothing..... no response. The guy that works in the deli is a nice guy. It could be a little cleaner too.”

“I usually use reviews to leave good impressions about the service or the products but it’s the second time that I get disappointed with this market. First time was mortadella sold after the expiration day, and when we complained at the store they said we need the product to verify. Please see attached the product and the receipt. Today I noticed the pumpkin is mold and we bought it yesterday. I don’t know what kind of business is that but it’s not fair at all”

“BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! They’re in a scam ring. I live all the way in Maryland and my card was skimmed. 5 transactions, all together 3-5minutes apart at 5 different locations. 3am in the morning. They’re stealing your card info! Every single cent was stolen from me the minute i got my deposit and i have NEVER BEEN TO NY A DAY IN MY LIFE!”

“I bought these Avocado la as t Thursday with hard and not ripe green. So I was waited to be ripe and cut I. A half, it's black inside. How can you sell the these. And I called to make complaint, no one pick up the phone. I never going to shop here again.”

“- Indian cashier woman has a nasty attitude. - Check your receipts. Was charged for items that were not purchased.”

“The Indian lady/cashier has an attitude and it disgusts me. They need a self checkout seriously!!!”
