“Discovered another little New England gem while putzing around Google maps and decided to check it out on a whim. It was definitely worth the Saturday adventure and back roads Autumn drive🍂🍃🍁 Just pulling up to the little ranch was inviting! The two gentlemen directing parking were all smiles and the friendliness didn't stop there. The volunteer staff were welcoming and kind, offering a free 1/2 hour tour and opportunity to interact with the alpacas. I appreciated the fact that while there was an option to quietly donate by cash or venmo, there was no intimidation nor requirement to do so, which IMO, completely aligns with the owner's mission to give back to the community and to create both a welcoming and family-friendly farm that's accessible to all abilities - physically and financially. The tour was well-organized and full, but certainly not overcrowded. Amy and Matt (the owners) were knowledgeable and kind, and offered a variety of alpaca facts and anecdotal experiences. The alpacas were friendly, clearly well cared for, and quite comical with their quirky personalities. There was ample opportunity to meet, feed, pet, and take pictures with the "boys and girls". I wish Libby's baby was born while we were there, but since the little cria wasn't, I'm eagerly awaiting the Facebook post with pictures revealing gender, color, and whatever adorably fitting name Amy comes up with next! All in all, the ranch is unquestionably a must-do for all ages. The staff (both human and animal🤣) is top notch! The experience allows you to be as involved or as hands-off as you'd like. The shop is affordable and offers a variety of ethically sourced alpaca products. There's even local options for felting, spinning, and weaving classes. And if you're looking to keep the alpaca experience close to heart, take home a tribble - guaranteed to fill your soul with happiness, joy, and a calmness that words can't describe!”

“If I could give Harvard Alpaca Ranch more than five stars, I absolutely would! My family and I had the most amazing time, and it was truly one of the highlights of our summer. The owners were incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate about their alpacas. They took the time to answer all of our questions, share their knowledge, and made us feel right at home. You can tell how much they genuinely care for their animals. The alpacas were absolutely adorable, gentle, and so much fun to interact with. Getting to meet them up close was an unforgettable experience for both the adults and the kids. The store was well stocked and COOL. I left with several skeins of their farm’s alpaca yarn. Can’t wait to knit with them!! If you’re looking for a unique, family-friendly outing, I can’t recommend Harvard Alpaca Ranch enough. We left with wonderful memories, huge smiles, and we’re already talking about our next visit. Thank you for such a special experience!”

“Had an amazing time today visiting the Harvard Alpaca Ranch! It was such a fun and relaxing experience being surrounded by these adorable, gentle animals. As someone who enjoys photography, I loved spending time snapping photos and capturing their unique personalities. The tour was excellent, and our guide was fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name, but she was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. She explained everything in great detail and made the experience both informative and enjoyable.Overall, it was a wonderful visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves animals, nature, or photography. Thank you for such a memorable experience!”

“We had such a wonderful experience at the Harvard Alpaca Ranch! Matt was an amazing guide — super knowledgeable, friendly, and told us a lot of fun facts about the alpacas. He introduced us to each alpaca by name and shared unique stories about them. The ranch is peaceful and well-kept, and they also have a lovely gift shop with high-quality products made from alpaca fiber. Great place to visit with family or friends. I’d definitely recommend everyone to check it out — it’s a hidden gem!”

“Harvard Alpaca Ranch is amazing! Getting to pet the alpacas, feed them treats, and learn all about them was such a special experience. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I ordered my tickets the night before on their website which was very easy. I also bought my third pair of alpaca socks — they’re one of the only socks that actually keep my feet warm in the winter. Highly recommend a visit! I love that they name all of their alpacas. Thank you!”

“Great place especially for kids. You get a tour and walk into the pens with the alpacas. The guide knows them by name. Most respond to their name. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I strongly recommend you make this a stop and support them.”

“The tour at the farm was so fascinating. I learned so much about the alpacas. They are so loved and well cared for. The best part... the name the yarn after the animals so you can see exactly where your yarn is coming from. Thank you Luna 😊”

“Omg the animals are adorable, plan ahead and get a spot for a tour Friday -Sunday. The shop is full of gorgeous, top quality items. There are 4 babies!!!! What an unexpected treat!!!”
