A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Missouri.
- Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“The Farmer’s Table Wine Trail event was extremely enjoyable. It is easy to tell that a lot of preparation goes into it by the folks managing the Wine Trail, the Winery Owners, and the representatives of the Farmers in the State of Missouri. Ashley was exceptional, as a MO farmer representative. She sought out tables of folks to interact with rather than wait for visitors to come to her. All winery personnel were very friendly, and the wine and food pairings were delicious. The overall organization of the event was spot on which I understand is due to the efforts of the President of the Wine Trail, Patty Held. Overall, a great experience that I recommend you try in 2027 if you missed the one this year.”

“This tour was SO fun! The scenery is spectacular. Make sure you ride the trolley. The drivers are very knowledgeable and make the whole experience. They were singing with us and gave info on each place we went. The little town is also so cute. They have some awesome bed and breakfasts and shops you could stay in for days. Sugar Mommas bakery has the best pie ever! Also, make sure you visit the chocolate candy place and the cheese and sausage store. Overall a great experience and I would go back everyday!”

“We had a great time. Hermann is a very cute little town and the wineries were lovely. The food was great and I think the portions were perfect. None of the wineries charged a tasting fee for the included wine sample, just if you wanted to taste other wines, which I think is very fair. We are definitely looking forward to coming back!”

“Going to the different wineries was fun. Nearly all the wineries had access to the recipes for the food that was pared with the wine. The Robler Winery in New Haven was well with the drive! The only winery that did not charge for tasting g of the other wines they produce. The purchasing of their products was easy.”

“A great wknd on the Hermann wine trail. The weather was great, music and the Old Vine B&B was a good place to stay. Make sure to check out the other wineries and distilleries in the area too. You won’t go hungry and take home a case our two of wine.”
