Hidden Hollow Orchard

“What a hidden away gem Orchard. Just when you think you’re in the wrong place driving through a neighborhood, you’ll see a small yard sign to turn into the orchard. The lady that owns the property is always there to guide you through her labor of love. Parking is wherever you can find a spot on the right side. She provides bags but it’s better to bring your own. The price is a great value. There was lots of apple assortments to pick. Not too crowded earlier in the day. Mostly families with small kiddos picking. We enjoyed visiting with the rescued horses and ponies towards the back of their orchard.”

“Absolutely magical experience! We went around 11AM on a Sunday, got a lovely tour from the lady who owns and tends the orchard, and just had an all-around wonderful time. The orchard is idyllic and a little wild in a charming way, while still being very easy to navigate. There are many varieties of apple, and every one we sampled that was in season was superb. Highly recommend going on your own adventure to Hidden Hollow!”

“Hidden Hollow Orchard is a charming little orchard with a sweet owner and beautiful rescue horses! Found nestled in the woods, there were plenty of apples to be picked at great prices! I love that this orchard is not commercialized and provides a great family experience. We brought carrots along to feed the rescue horses, which was a blast! We look forward to going back soon!”

“We love this place and try to go every year. No pesticides, no artificial fertilizer, just a great u-pick with a few horses to pick and the sweetest little lady proprietress that ever lived. I've taken my kids here ever since a wonderful friend introduced me to it, and I hope somehow it's a place their children will someday be able to visit.”

“It’s lovely. We were greeted at our car with instructions on where to find the best apples (and which trees to avoid because of bees). After apple picking we fed a pony, the kids climbed on some tractors and we paid for our apples- which was very inexpensive. Bring cash (small bills) and enjoy this hidden gem.”

“Best place to pick apples hands down in and near the Louisville Kentucky area. They are the Sweetest people and have the most delicious apples! We also went to see the horses and they are darlings! We had a great time and we will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this Orchard!”

“Love it here. There are 8 hungry horses love to eat carrots and delicious green apples. It's better if u smash the apples to feed them or put the apples in the black bucket that is located near the fence.”

“We went yesterday afternoon and almost all the apples were gone. She warned us that everything had been picked over that morning. That was fine. I still wanted my kids to see the orchard and have the experience. The reason I'm giving her a one-star is because she made a very rude and hurtful comment to my son. She had packages of cookies that she was giving out to the kids to eat and feed the horses. My son asked if he could have one and she looked at him and said "it doesn't look like you need a cookie.". My son has autism so I don't think he fully grasped what she said, but my heart just broke for him. We will not be back. Just because you're old doesn't give you the right to say whatever you want.”
