Picking hours are usually 10-3pm Regular store hours: Tue-Sat 10-5, Sun 1-5 closed Monday "Papa Bear" suggests wearing a belt or caribeaner so you have both hands for picking. It's been a challenging year with the drought, but they've been watering all summer.”

“We came for the apple cider donuts (a must!), but couldn’t resist grabbing some apple butter, coffee syrup, and a few pumpkins too. The donuts were perfectly delicious, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Hillside Orchard is family-owned and operated, with everything either made right on the farm, nearby, or sourced locally in Ohio. The produce was gorgeous, fresh, and really well-priced. If you’re looking to shop local and treat yourself to something sweet, this is the place to go!”

“Picking apples was more fun than expected. My kids really got into it and it was fun to show them that apples dont come from the grocery store but from trees. Their hot apple cider is delicious. Their cider donuts are amazing. (And that my kids got to see how donuts get made was a plus) And their apple pie is amazingly delicious.”

“I went apple picking 🍎 🍏 with my adult daughter. It was crisp and cool weather. It was a great time and we all had pink noses. They were some of the best and juiciest apples I have ever eaten. When we picked them the apples had a sheen of evaporation on them from the cold. I bit into one and the juice just squirted out everywhere. Tree ripening made the apples super sweet. The donuts were also super fresh and were cooking as we watched. A great time was had by all. I’m still eating apples because a half bushel goes a long way. They are still crisp and delicious. This little farm is definitely worth a visit.”

“They have great apple picking but poison ivy all over all the trunk of the trees, it's horrible, no signs to tell you or anything. We didn't see signs to not climb until we were told, we were behind the signs... nice orchard, great store, amazing donuts. But please remove the poison ivy or put up signs.”
