Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“My kids and I met up with a friend for a playdate at Hubb's Farm on Sunday morning. I love everything about this farm! The farm is huge and everything is spaced out so you never feel like it's crowded. I couldn't believe how clean the grounds, equipment, tables, bathrooms, everything was. They had music playing over speakers and I actually really enjoyed that. All of the employees were super friendly. You could tell they all love here. There are a lot of activities for kids to do. None of our kids got bored even for a minute. They have a great area for smaller kids to play so they aren't left out. There were 3 different train type rides that were included in the entry fee. There were only a few activities not included. They thought of so many details such as having several great spots for photo opportunities. Even the bathrooms are adorable! There were signs along the pumpkin patch with activities for kids to do as they are walking along. The little cafe trailer had tasty food and lots of kid approved options. They only accept cash so be sure to take some with you. Two other food stands we visited were able to accept credit cards. We will definitely visit again. This is our new favorite farm!”

“We visited Hubb’s Family Farm for my little one’s field trip, and it was such a fun day! It’s been a while since I’d been, but it was even better than I remembered. My son had an absolute blast — his favorite part was definitely the mini zip line, and he loved both of the bounce areas too. While we waited for the hayride to come back around, it was great having a playground nearby to keep the kids entertained. We also enjoyed seeing the animals and digging in the sand for shark teeth — such a cute idea! Each child got to take home a little pumpkin, which was the perfect touch for a fall field trip. Some activities were closed during the weekday visit but open on weekends, which just gives us a good reason to come back again with the whole family. The farm store was adorable — we picked up some Oreo cake pops and a lemongrass mosquito repellent I’m excited to try out. Parking was super easy, the staff were all friendly and welcoming, and I definitely got my steps in for the day! If you’re looking for a wholesome, fun, and family-friendly outing this fall, Hubb’s Family Farm is a must-visit. 🍂🎃 *also want to come back for the corn maze!!! ❤️”

“Hubb’s is such a wonderful place for family, friends, and fun! So many memories to be made, and so many things to do a long the way. It is the absolute best backdrop for pictures. We look forward to October, as that’s when we prefer to go, every year! The flash sale for ticket purchasing is really where you get your bang for your buck, and their U-Pick’s are unbeatable as far as price compared to anywhere else. The drive up is beautiful and scenic, as much of it is undeveloped and farmland. Cannot shout it loud enough to the people who have yet to go, GO! See y’all next year 💛”

“Hands down best family fall experience! The drive to the farm from Wilmington area was beautiful. The farm has plenty of parking, stroller accessibility and flat ground. We loved all of the various food choices- street corn, pizza, bbq, slushies (muscadine was my favorite), donuts, funnel cake and ice cream. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful. The u-pick flowers were awesome deal. Our 9 year old loved all of the activities and wants to make this an annual family trip.”

“Every fall I drag one or all of my kids to a corn maze! They are all in their 20’s now and still love to go! We have been to Hubb’s in the past and have always enjoyed it! We did all the activities but our favorites were the corn mazes, apple cannons and pick your own flowers! I love the ticket deals, though we would pay for full price because it supports our local farms! Thank you for having us and we will be back next year! ♥️”

“This was the best Farm we have been too! It is so big and there is so much fun to be had! You can pick your own flower bouquet, slide down a giant slide, shoot apples out of a cannon gun, play in a corn pit, play corn hole, eat lots of good food and enjoy a hot drink, and so much more! If you haven’t been, put it on your must experience list!”

“So many things to do to keep kids busy for hours. Large property with plenty of room for activities without being crowded. Some of our favorite activities are the corn mazes, apple canon, slide, zip line, and shark tooth dig. Entry price is a little high for the average family but it is worth every penny. We visit every year.”

“This place is great! We went for the first time yesterday, and couldn't be happier! There were so many activities to do! We can't wait to got back for the fall festival again next year!”
