“Today my friend and I visited after our girls trip was canceled by a ranch a week prior to our scheduled arrival although we booked it 6 months early. We decided to try Huddin Homestead to get our animal cuddles. It did not disappoint! The owners and staff were so sweet and after hearing about our fiasco, they let us love on their animals a little extra. We were very appreciative. Is the place huge? No. For us animal lovers it was easy to spend 3 hours there giving the animals all the rubs and attention we possibly could. There were some animals you couldn't interact with yet, but could view in their enclosures, and that is fine because they need to make sure they're ready to have strangers touching them. Makes total sense and I appreciate them caring about everyone's safety. I would be willing to visit more and help those animals acclimate to human interaction. Ha!”

“This farm is a hidden gem. We moved here a year ago and drove by but never stopped until last week. My wife and I have been here twice in the past two weeks and we'll be back. The farm itself is very clean and well organized. As a Dairy and Elk Rancher from Wisconsin, I can attest to this. They treat their animals very well and make sure they are clean and healthy. Yes, there are flies, but that is a normal and unavoidable feature of farms. The owners/family are super nice and easy-going. Not sure why someone is compelled to write 1-star reviews, but they definitely deserve all five. My wife says the only improvement would be to introduce Zebras. If that happens she'll be there every day.”

“It was great! I loved it. 100% worth visiting. The animals are so cute and friendly, especially the goats and otters that grabbed my fingers with their little handsies and nibbled on me. Also the parrots were really cute. I'm a huge animal person so I wanted to cuddle them all. 🥰 The owner told us they're expanding, so by March they will have more animals, one of them being a capybara. They'll be remodeling so they'll have bigger better cages and what not.”

“Absolutely the best time, my boyfriend, a friend, and I all went as a small celebration for my birthday and there were so many social animals! Only $15 per person for so much to do, we definitely want to go again. We even got to hang out with the capybaras and give them some food (big ol bundles of anxiety there). The gift shop wasn't overpriced to! Thank you so much to everyone that helped us out and made our visit the best!!”

“Such a wonderful place! We had the most amazing first visit. The farm is beautifully kept and the staff are incredibly friendly. It’s the perfect spot for a fun, wholesome family day out. The highlight was definitely feeding the animals: the camel, pony, and goats were such a hit and our kid absolutely loved every second of it. We made so many great memories and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!”

“What a great way to spend an afternoon! We love this place. All the animals are so cute and spoiled just as they should be! We met Isaac, the baby camel, Trixie the coati mundi, otters, Juanita the anteater, some capybaras, chickens, calves, giant tortoises, birds, and more!! Clean, fun, lots for kids and lots for adults to do. 5⭐️best place in Rockwall!! Tell Corie and Ryan we said hey!!”

“AWESOME PLACE!!! So many unique animals! The otters and coatimundis are so cute! The capybaras are so chill! Nice and open, plenty of shade with the trees! Low price, amazing food and drinks! The gift shop is so cute! Will be visiting this place again! ❤️🦦🌸”

“We recently visited Huddin Homestead Farm after seeing it featured on DallasFamFun Instagram, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The concept has potential, but the execution just isn’t there yet. It felt more like someone with land and a few animals decided to turn it into a petting zoo experience without fully developing it. Admission was $15 per person, which included six small 3 oz cups of feed. The food was divided for different animals—small animals, goats, and larger animals like the camel, calf, and alpaca—which was a nice idea in theory. There are a few kid-friendly elements like playground equipment, small bikes, an indoor area with coloring pages and a slide, and a few small bounce houses, which younger kids may enjoy. However, several of the animal experiences were underwhelming. The bunny and bird areas had plenty of animals, but they were blocked off by bungee cords, so interaction was very limited. The only truly hands-on experience was inside the goat pen, where you could feed, pet, and brush the goats. You could also feed and pet the camel, cow, and alpaca, but they were separated by fencing, which made the interaction feel more restricted. Other animals like the tortoise, capybara, sloths, coati, tamandua, and otters were only viewable from behind enclosures, making it feel more like a small, informal zoo rather than an interactive experience. There were also chickens near the back of the property, close to the residence and fenced-in pool area, which added to the overall impression that this is still more of a private property than a fully developed attraction. Overall, I think this place could become something really great with more development and attention to the visitor experience. But at $15 per person, it just didn’t feel worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend it in its current state.”
