Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Alabama.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“Had my nieces birthday party here and the kids had an absolute blast. Only had to pay for one thing separate that didn't come with the party and that was the hayride. Staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to showing people where to do and where to go. Also had a great selection of pumpkins. Had a petting zoo and a pony ride with a lot of stuff to play on. Plenty of space so you're not too crowded a lot of tables so you'll have a place to sit all kids play. Great place to bring the family and see some cool stuff.”

“I visited this place to get some pumpkins for my birthday (10/13), and it turned out to be more than just a pumpkin patch—it was a full Fall adventure! There were bouncy toys, photo ops, a basketball area, hay maze, tractor rides, a snack stand, a safari walk, and a petting zoo. I loved it! It’s super cute and perfect for families. They do charge $12 for admission, plus extra fees for feed and other activities for the kids. They accept both card and cash, and there’s ample parking right out front.”

“Great pumpkin patch with slides, petting zoo, hayride and safari trail. Parking is close to entrance and they serve food. The bathroom is in the main building and uses curtains inside instead of stall doors. They take credit cards for the $9 entry fee but tickets need to be purchase for some activties. If you don't buy tickets there are still plenty of animals to pet and trail to walk.”

“Awesome place to take the kids, you can spend the whole day here and the kids won't get bored. So many cool activities to do and your pumpkins is included in your admission price.”

“Great family fun! This year was the first time my family visited Isbell's Farm and the children really loved it. There's lots of activities to keep them busy and entertained”

“Went with granddaughter for field trip. Staff was friendly. Nice set up for kids to play. 10$ a head for parents is a bit steep to hang out with your kiddos. Petting zoo had only a couple animals in it, safari walk was closed this day, not sure why because it is one of the kids favorite things from years past.”

“Went for a visit with about 200 kindergarten kids. They had a fantastic time. And, I think, their parents enjoyed it also. They have quite a few things for the kids to do. This would make a great day trip to the pumpkin patch for your family. Not the best pumpkin patch in the area, but darn close.”

“I do not see how this pumpkin patch or whatever they wanna call it has such high ratings !! It has to be family or the employees making them because we came with my grandsons kindergarten class and we were so disappointed! But not surprised being the location! Let’s start by saying 10 a piece to get in 1.50 I think to use a card no big deal ! The “pumpkin patch “ was a joke looked like someone took a trailer and just pushed pumpkins out , because there wasn’t one vine !!! The area towards the back has 3 regular swings and a baby swing ! The slide , the kids have to climb up a rickety old ladder ! Towards the front it had some bouncy stuff , and more swings but all the empty land and stuff you would think they would make it more desirable! They had a couple silos cut with rocks and a broke down wood bridge between them !! 1 newer food truck one old one hot dog hamburger bbq sandwich (frozen ) grilled chicken sandwich chips snow cones not much for real ! And the staff working them food trucks are very rude ! The only staff that was nice was the lady working the register in the entrance she was really sweet ! They also have a pond by the picnic tables with no fence or anything around it ! Our class was mostly special needs kids and a aide literally had to tackle one of the kids because she kept running toward the water !! The asking for a law suit ! !! The animals seemed very thin and not well taken care of ! As much money as they are making you would think they would up grade and maybe put more stuff out fence that nasty pond and feed and take the animals to the vet !! Will definitely be back and would not recommend anyone going back ! There are plenty of real pumpkin patches with nice clean new equipment and good bathrooms (they had out houses in the back part) wasn’t much to take pics of and I felt too bad to take some of the poor animals!!”
