Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Took our teens to Jacob's for the haunted corn maze and we were not disappointed! There is a large parking area with free parking. As we walked into the event area, there was a greeter who directed our teens to the appropriate line to have their qr code tickets scanned for the maze, which we had on phones from purchasing tickets online in advance. We told her we were just waiting for the kids and she told us where to find warm drinks, food, bathrooms, and live entertainment, which we weren't expecting at all. There was an open barn with seating and a sort of bar as well as another food shack outdoors. They offered both warm and cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase as well as donuts, pizza, and a few other options. Tons of seating, fun lighting, fire pits and live music outdoors. Bathrooms were easily accessible with several of them available so lines weren't long. The teens loved the corn maze. They were a bit smug going into it but came out thoroughly unsettled, which, of course, was the goal on that specific night! Lots of shrieks and screams but the path is actually marked off through the corn and gently lit at ground level for the "haunted" night so people aren't getting lost in the dark, which is great! We will definitely return and will plan more time for additional exploration next year!”

“Great atmosphere for a summer night. Live music is the perfect volume and vibe for the family-friendly atmosphere. The new service is made with too big crushed rocks that are not compacted enough, which makes it nearly impossible for individuals with wheelchairs to navigate. This is the only flaw of the whole excellent property. Please look into and consider as it could be a dealbreaker if a potential customer has adaptive equipment. The Staff at Jacob’s farm have been working hard to make it accessible for everyone. They have been observant of their customers and as a result they have made changes to the outdoor patio to make it more accessible for everyone including wheelchair users. Thank you to everyone for taking action to meet the needs of everyone. Jacob’s Farm has been promoted to my favorite spot in Traverse City area”

“Jacob's Farm was the perfect spot for our team outing! From start to finish, they were quick, efficient, and incredibly kind. Our team had an amazing time enjoying the live music, great atmosphere, and delicious food. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying the pizza; it's a must! They were so accommodating and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend Jacob's Farm to anyone looking for a fun, memorable evening with their team. We can't wait to come back!”

“Our family held a marriage celebration at the Centennial Barn on June 20. Everyone loved the venue, and the staff was excellent from beginning planning stages all the way to the big day. So many thanks to Richard, Chef Marc and the team for making it all look easy. I recommend this venue to anyone seeking a rustic/elegant party experience with delicious food and perfect bar. It was everything we could have wanted and more.”

“Jacob’s Farm was amazing! I just recently got married at the white barn on May 30th and it was perfect. The staff was attentive and timely, the food and drinks were fantastic and everyone had a great time! Richard and Marc communicated extremely well, even in their off season, and paid attention to minute details that made our day special. 100/10 recommend!!”

“Jacob's Farm was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday! The chicken/ranch and the Shroom Hunter pizzas were delicious!! Very much appreciated the new Pavillion cover that kept the sun at bay while we enjoyed the live music. Looking forward to showing Jacob's Farm off to some travelers coming to town!”

“Great spot to grab some good food and drinks. There are many events throughout the year. We went during October, there is a corn maze, live music, great pizza and signature cocktails as well as craft beer. I highly recommend visiting this place!”

“We had a great experience at Jacob's Farm drinking wine, beer and cider and munching on street corn and hummus with tortilla chips. They had a live band too who played good indie music. It was a lovely day to be here.”
