Kielar Akers Orchard

“I just got back, July 17, 2023. They had opened on the 15th this year. I called to see if they had pre-picked cherries and the message said to call 2 days in advance if you wanted them picked for you. I was not anxious to pick my own but planned for it. I lucked out and they did have some! The cherries look fantastic. My photo shows them in my own pails and this is a pail and a half by their measure (which is what I asked for). Be aware of location unless it's just me. Google maps said "your destination is on the left" as I was driving north. There was a sign posted but not a human or stand in sight. I drove into a driveway across the road and a sign was in the window that said closed. Now what. I drove in where the cherry sign was and finally saw people picking. They directed me to the cherry hut but parking was in the ditch and I was on the wrong side of the fence. Anyway, I drove out again and parked. I had not gone north far enough to see the hut. No doubt it would be much easier to see coming from the north. I'm glad to have my cherries!”
