Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Florida.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“By Appointment to avoid large crowds picking at the same time, message the owner on Facebook to set up a time. Owner checks forecast in case of rain to propose good time slots. Owner met us and walked us around the farm to show us where to pick and explained the current status of the peaches/fruit market so that we understood which peaches to pick and what to look for. Great experience, very friendly and prompt responses. Thank you so much! We'll be back next time we're in the area for sure!”

“This place is a gem! Just went today to pick persimmons. The owner was super knowledgeable about the different varieties of fruit and gave tips on how to tell when to pick. The fruit was so delicious and fresh! The price was by pound and wasn't too expensive at all. Definitely recommend supporting a local farm and spending a day here to roam around and pick some fresh fruit with the family!”

“It doesn't get any fresher than picking your own. The Owner of this orange grove made picking like a tour. His knowledge and stories make me want to go back to hear all about the agriculture of orange growing. We picked grapefruits and tangelos and they are flavorful and juicy. The price was such a great value and better than any store bought citrus”

“Got the pleasure of being able to experience picking the best persimmons I’ve ever tasted. we were greeted by the kindest most knowledgeable man and pup. If I could come everyday, I so would. Will definitely recommend and tell everyone about this beautiful place. There was a lot of love and care put into this and it truly shows.”

“The owner of this citrus grove was extremely helpful and accommodating. Even though we did not come at peak season, we were able to pick high quality grapefruit, Valencia oranges, and kumquats. Highly recommend this location for you-pick fruit over more touristy places in the area.”

“Owner is awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable guy. I thoroughly enjoyed my picking experience here.”

“Facebook page: Check their latest updates on their page for what's ripening and to book your appointment. Appointment is required to come pick fruits. You provide the boxes or bags to transport the fruit home. U-Pick seasons vary depending on fruit, season, and weather. So always check their Facebook page for updates. "Citrus fruits, such as navel oranges and tangerines, are available between October and December. Tangelos and grapefruit are available between December and April. Juice oranges are available between March and May. Oriental persimmons are available between late August and October. Peaches and blackberries are available between April and June." U-Pick Fruit Prices: quoted from their page 10/26/23 Citrus fruit are $8-$10 per 1/4 bushel bag. Pomelos are $1.50 per pound. Oriental persimmons are $4 per pound and blackberries are $5 per pound. Peaches are $4 per pound. Passion fruit 50 cents each (if and when available). 10/24/23: My review Highlights This is a small family-owned five acres of fruit farm. The family grows Fuyu, Christmas, and other persimmon varieties. They also grow citrus fruits. U-pick season varies depending on weather, season, and fruit variety. You must check their business page on Facebook for their posting of what fruit is available and message or call them to book an appointment. Appointment time is required to come pick fruits. I took my kids here and my son enjoyed harvesting his favorite Fuyu persimmon variety. Fuyu is the only non-astringent persimmon variety they grow. The other varieties are astringent which means you will have to wait for the fruits to really soften up or else the taste will scar your memory and taste buds for a lifetime. 😂 I learned that from experience. Thanks James for your time and talk. I learned a chestnut tree needs a partner for pollination. The owner James is very informative and he looks like Albert Einstein. James also has a turkey that tries to act like a chicken. The kids enjoyed watching the turkey. 😆 Oh we also saw a mockingbird nest as shown in photo. “Felt policed while picking. The owner was concerned people would eat while picking. He preferred the fruit rotted on the trees or fell so that he didn't lose out on money. There is no shelter, no bathroom facility, nor did he provide bags to put the fruit. He had a few used boxes he took out of his car, which held his huge dog. Not your typical Upick. Other than that, he provided a great history of fruit origin and varieties available to pick. His passion for growing and the fruit was big and good quality”
