Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Georgia.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We had a great time. It's beautiful and quiet. I highly recommend going early before 1030a, late in the evening when you still have plenty of light, or any time on an overcast day, and bring a bottle of water to drink. We were surprised at the lack of wasps and insects in general. There were flies but no mosquitoes, and plenty of small spiders. The spiders couldn't care less about you, but we did encounter a few very large red ants that crawled right on us, fire ants on some of the bushes, and a few hidden fire ant mounds close to the base of the bushes. WEAR CLOSE-TOED SHOES and pants so you don't have to worry about what's crawling on your legs or feet, especially for kids! Watch where you walk while moving from bush to bush due to the ants, and due to occasional large wads of goat poop. Also, a few bushes have wild blackberries growing in them, so you can get a poke or get snagged on those if you aren't careful. Some of the thorny limbs were on the ground as well. We saw a porta potty but didn't use it. Our 2 gallons of berries weighed about 12 pounds. It took one distracted adult (distracted by three mostly unhelpful kids fighting over the fun tire swing) and one tween an hour and a half to get that much. This was the second week of June, I would suggest waiting until a week or two later when more of the berries are ripe. Easter egg hunt buckets make great picking buckets, and then everyone can pour theirs into one from the farm occasionally so that you can make sure you get the right quantity. When we finished, we poured them all back out into the buckets we brought and left the farm's bucket there. If you want to buy a bucket from them it's $2. They have one- and two-gallon buckets. If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up! Thanks!”

“Peaceful picking at 7am right when they opened. Perfect going early to avoid daytime heat. The berries are so sweet and made for a great breakfast on the drive home. Bring your own container to take the berries home or take them in a provided bucket for an extra $2. Convenient payment options, cash and payment apps.”

“We are so excited this farm is open for the summer! Great prices, wasn’t crowded, and there are SO many blueberry bushes to pick from. This would be fun for all age groups! Can’t wait to go make some things with our blueberries and be back soon!”

“I have so far been ordering eggs from "the girls", haha. I am very satisfied with the quality and with their ability to deliver very quickly after my order is made. We will be making a visit to the farm soon!”

“This farm is a staple. We love picking blueberries here and then relaxing on the benches beneath the shade trees while the kids take turns on the tire swing. The figs are delicious, too.”

“This was a really nice place to pick blueberries. They keep their social media updated so you know which parts of the fields have the most fruit. The blueberries are really sweet too!”

“The blueberries here are incredible! They are so juicy and there are so many bushes on this farm. They had picking buckets to borrow, benches and a swing for my girls when they got hot! It is such a nice place. This year I did notice that there is a lot more growth of other trees and weeds around the blueberry bushes... I hope they can get some help cleaning up the rows this fall.”

“Easy to grab your buckets and start picking. Self pay is easy and honesty policy makes it easy to pay at end of your picking. Quiet and peaceful location.”
