“The best part of Athens! You can check out when they have volunteer events at givepulse. Usually it is weeding rows or harvesting veggies, but you can end up doing all sorts of farm related things. Getting rows prepped (shaping rows, setting up irrigation, hoeing/weeding), planting, fertilizing/spreading compost, taking plants out, and so much more. Everyone there is always super helpful and answers any questions you have about farming. Super chill place to hang out and get some exercise.”

“Great place run by UGA faculty and students. I've only ever been for the fall festival which is always a blast. For a few bucks there is a potluck with live bands and even ice cream! If you have a chance to visit for their festival I would highly recommend it.”

“I took an OLLI class for growing mushrooms (the eating kind) and it was held at this location. The interesting thing is that the Veggies grown here are given to various charities and food banks around the Athens area.”
