“I moved my father to the Orchard in September of 2024 from out of state. Having lived his entire life elsewhere, coupled with two forms of dementia, it was a challenge. This was made even more difficult in that while his mind was gone, he was still very mobile and didn't look like he should be living in a memory care unit. The first few months were quite a challenge as he frequently tried to leave and/or got rather frustrated by knowing he wasn't where he had been for the previous 76 years. However, the staff at the Orchard was incredibly loving, creative with ideas to get him engaged, thoughtful on how to communicate with him, and simply put, the best resource our family could have ever imagined. During his time there, as his illness changed, so did their level of care. They always met him where he was and were great communicators. I saw my Dad every day during his time in their facility (17 months) and, as such, got to know the team at the Orchard quite well. They weren't just putting on a good show when I was around, they truly cared about him. This was evident in daily interactions, calls, texts, and even being with me during his final hours as he passed peacefully in his room. My family is tremendously appreciative of the team at the Orchard and I'd highly recommend their facility for anyone who has a loved one in need of care.”

“Orchard at Athens provided an excellent refuge for my Uncle. The employees, especially the administrators, facilitated his transition. Once established in his room ( a spacious, clean and lovely place) he flourished from the care, receiving his medication on time and enjoying healthy meals. Laundry, housekeeping and visits to the barber all worked beautifully. I must comment on the facilities at Orchard, which are bright and pretty spectacular, especially the "Main Street" atrium with the movie theater and scheduled activities. The staff excelled, including Coach Rusty, who helped with everything from IT problems, to serving as tour guide on sight seeing adventures. In the midst of the pandemic, Orchard established clear guidelines to protect their residents, communicating frequently with the families and continuing to run the facility with great efficiency. I was able to rest easy knowing my Uncle was safe, happy and receiving the very best care. We will always be grateful to the staff for their help.”

“My experience with Orchard at Athens is attached to their ownership and leadership. Additionally, I have found that the personality of an organization is based upon leadership at the top and then moves into the culture and personality their care givers / team members of that business or organization. Therefore, the best compliment I believe I could provide to a person or to an organization is stated by saying: I will happily have one of my loved ones be cared for or assisted at Orchard of Athens. Their team of professionals are exceptional.”

“My mother moved into Orchard in August 2020. I had heard wonderful things about Orchard communities from a friend in Atlanta. When I heard Athens was getting an Orchard community I was so happy. Orchard has been incredible to my mother and our family. The staff is very professional and warm and engaging too. They have done an amazing job creating a sense of community in such a short time. I would definitely recommend Orchard to others.”

“My mother has been at Orchard of Athens since November 2024. It is a well run, clean, and professional facility. We looked at several other facilities, and none came close to Orchard. The staff are caring, and kind. The facility is bright, open, and inviting. The food overall is good, and abundant. Most importantly my mother feels at home here. We are very grateful that this facility is here in Athens.”

“My wife passed Jan 5, 2024 and I moved into the Orchard on January 8th. Needless to say it was a very emotional time for me. The staff here took me under special care immediately. All of them are people persons who genuinely like you and seem to know what to do to comfort you in your time of need. I can see why The Orchard is number one of assisted care facilities in the area.”
