Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Virginia.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“I absolutely LOVE this shop. It’s a cute little shop, I’ve had their pies before and they’re great. Today I stopped by to get some donuts and it was hands down the BEST donuts I’ve ever had. I’ve never had sour cream donuts and they were delicious. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The place is very cozy, I highly recommend for everyone to visit this place at least once.”

“My family and I love Loudounberry! We get our milk, honey, and bread here every week — everything is always so fresh and delicious. The kids love seeing the sheep, which makes it a fun stop for the whole family. The only downside is that customer service can be a little inconsistent sometimes. Other than that, it’s a beautiful place and very family-friendly!”

“Staying in the area on vacation and went there for one thing.... DANGEROUS! Found so many cool items and great food we ended up dropping $100 there. Awesome store full of many temptations (like the zucchini nut bread)!! Enjoyed speaking with the owner while checking out. Nice guy.”

“A large farm market with a good selection of annuals and perennials, and many Ukrainian grocery products. Also provides donuts (the chocolate one is nice) and sometimes a food vendor demoing. Cute farm animals in the back, like goats. Fun to browse for a bit.”

“This little place was fantastic! We drove through back in October and I had my husband turn around and stop. Beautiful items, fresh lavender, bread, produce, the list is long! Loved it!”

“On my way to a men's retreat, I saw the 'fresh pies' sign, so I looked for it on the way back. I grabbed a lemon blueberry pie, which was delicious. such a unique flavor!”

“Picked up a still-warm Very Berry pie for Pi Day, and it was most excellent. One of the best we've ever had.”

“Came today to check out their pies and donuts. We bought an apple crisp pie, apple cider donut, chips, salsa and lollipop. The donut and chips were stale. The pie was hard and dry. The lollipop tasted like a chemical. Very disappointing. I called to let them know and asked for a refund. They let me know I can’t get one without returning everything. Route 15 is an absolute disaster, and we have been living in Leesburg for 8 years and finally went there. We were so excited to try everything, but can’t return because the route makes it impossible. $41 gone. Unfortunate they can’t accommodate and they’re selling expired and bad items. Also, the apple crisp pie has no label on it. Sadly we won’t return.”
