“It’s a fun event! I had a good time with the music and vendors.”

“Let me start with it wasn’t all bad and the food vendors and other vendors were amazing as always. The event itself though was the most unorganized event I have ever been to. No Handicap Parking! That in itself was gonna make me leave before it even started. The distance to walk for me was almost impossible. No clear signs to help find the location. Once we found it, there was still no signs we were in the right place. The check in table was a cluster of confusion. The roping and cornhole was just thrown out on the ground for folks to just figure it out. And did I mention the pumpkin patch. 12 of the saddest pumpkins ever just tossed over to the side in the dirt. The hayride was ok at best. Though again there was no way for anyone with disabilities to have assistance getting up in the trailer. The drivers did not get down to assist nor did they have someone on the ground to make sure people could get on and off safely. The maze was indescribable the three young men working that could not really explain how the thing worked. Having been to the farms Lavender Festival this event was a HUGE let down. 10 out of 10 will not do this again. The only reason I put any stars was for the Food trucks, Vendors and the Band. Do better”

“I'll say this while appreciating the value in community organizations like the Agri-Nature center: this event is just so-so. First of all, despite the name, the field is NOT maize, rather a lower-growing crop like sorghum. It's barely chest-height for an adult. Secondly, there's a surprise $2.50 processing fee PER TICKET if you want to use credit card, even for the kids’ $5 tickets. The “scavenger hunt” in the maze was a series of signs where kids had to think of things like “three kinds of trees” or “a seed.” Unfortunately, the kids in my group (ages 2-9) lost interest well before finding all ten clues. The other activities for kids were just okay. There were tables where you could paint a pumpkin, but you had to purchase the pumpkin separately. As for the tractor ride, it was a basic circle around a field—not exactly a highlight. All in all, it wasn’t terrible, but it’s not something I’d rush to experience again. You won’t be missing much if you skip it.”

“If you want to donate to the community farm and save yourself a trip, just buy tickets online and don't show up. The sorghum wasn't even 3 ft tall. Worse, they ran out of beer by 3:30; Steelbender did own up to it and promised to get more beer delivered so good on them. Overall, it just was a lackluster event, particularly since the maze was literally a few paths through tall grass. Porta potties were gross too. Vendors were the only redeemable part.”
