Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Indiana.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Absolutely LOVED going, as always! They have many activites available to choose from. 🍎 apple and 🎃 pumkpin picking , corn maze , visit with animals 🐖 🐎 play on playground, check out the apple barn (gift shop) and they also recently added a bake shop 🥧 which there is a small menu to pick from to grab a bite to eat. The apple barn (gift shop) has unique seasonal items along with apples 🍎 and honey 🍯 candy 🍬 and toys for the kids. Apple cider (one size $5) is a must every visit ! Can't wait to try the apple pie we purchased today. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend checking the place out , bringing your family. There's something for everyone to enjoy.”

“I love this time of year and I really enjoy spending a couple of hours here at the apple orchard. The animals are so cute and well taken care of and I had to take a video of the 2 geese that were ready for lunch, feeding time lol it was so funny and the cow and bull were moooing at the same time 😂. I ended up buying an apple slushy which was very good, a gallon of apple cider, one whole apple pie, honeycomb samples and honey suckers. Every thing was really good and the pie was too die for...yum. We had to get some really pretty and unique pumpkins as well. Support your local business. Have a wonderful day.”

“Such an amazing place! Everyone is super friendly, prices are very reasonable and product is awesome! My son hurt his self really bad on the playground and Stacy in the apple barn was so sweet! She helped him get cleaned up and gave him a slushy to help calm him down… I live about an hour and a half away but definitely will return because of the great environment!”

“Hands down the best real cidery in Indiana. Their dry ciders are comparable to some great English ciders, and their “Scotchy Scotch” (finished in Laphroig barrels) may be one of the best ciders I’ve ever had. With the juice being pressed from onsite apples, what’s not to love? Amazing service and a great selection of ciders, will definitely be back!”

“Lovely. Danielle was wonderful and helpful. The food was delicious and the prices were good. Bar-B-Que pork is very smoky and the flavor is wonderful. We tasted some lovely wines and great ciders. The apple dumplings are warm and the cinnamon ice cream complemented it perfectly! Don’t forget to stop and give the animals a little love!”

“This was our first time at the orchard. Our favorite part was the horse!!!! My son was IN LOVE!! And his trainer/owner was nothing short of AMAZING!!! He did so well with my little guy!!! 💗 Thank you for an experience he will never forget!! ❤❤ We will definitely be returning!!!”

“Had such a great experience at McClure’s! Tamara and Kat were so attentive and helpful, sharing information about the wines & ciders as well as insight into the farm! It was obvious they love their jobs. I had a wonderful time and plan to return soon!”

“Never been to the McClure’s Winery, but today was the first. First walking in you get a VERY STRONG GAS smell. Which could really make the employees sick if not fixed. Bathrooms at the tasting room were the only bathrooms available that were open and the gift shop at the top of the hill mostly Christmas decor, the animal barn just covered in poo. Highly disappointed we wasted our time.”
