Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I live out by the lake wissota State Park area and I have been going to another local berry farm but they have been closed alot this year,so I did a Google search for something else close by,for picking your own strawberries, way down the list I came across this place McIIquham Orchard and strawberry farm located I think it said Osseo, but it is actually right in a small little town called Foster, with the interstate 94 access on and off right there at Foster ,but I came down the backroads and took county highway K to fall creek then on to Foster that way,it was easy to find the farm when you get into foster ,the owners of the farm have it marked out with good signage,at the stop in foster and right down the road at where to turn for the road that takes you to the farm.Since this was my 1st time there I was not sure on what to do,so I just pulled in with my dog ,(which was fine with them , I called and asked 1sy stating I would leave her in the car with air conditioner running for her)I pulled up to the lady at the entrance and stated not sure what to do it's my 1st time here, the first thing she said to me then " well welcome and thank you for coming' I thought that was so nice, and I had people in vehicles behind me that didn't matter she wanted to make sure I was taken care of and she explained her husband on the 4 Wheeler would take me right there just follow him.grom then on I felt right at home on their wonderful farm prices of berries was great I thought$8.00 for a level pick of berries in ice cream pail, then it was like $9 for heaping pail or something like that, I picked 3 level ice cream pail and was charged $25.00 for it all,but the best thing was the berries well besides the Mcllquham's themselves including the son that was working that day at check out we're the berries, Berries were Big,Fat Plump,Juicy And utterly Delicious,,All in all I could not of asked for more in this wonderful first time pick at their beautiful farm,so thank you Mcllguham family hats off to you on doing such a great job on your welcoming farm,Thanks again Kathy Hedrington from lake wissota State Park area”

“P we picked strawberries here this July. They were amazing, we ate them fresh and made jam with them. We just got back from picking honey crisp apples. They are sweet and delicious! They have cider but you have to get there right away, they sell out fast, I was unable to get some this time. They are also at the farmers market in Eau Claire.”

“Best tasting berries I’ve picked in the area! The rows are plush with clean straw, so it’s comfy to kneel while picking. There are soooo many berries, so picking doesn’t take long like it does at some other places. Looking forward to coming back for apples in the fall!”

“Best strawberries in the area. So flavorful and juicy! Can’t wait for this year’s strawberry season.”

“This place has the best strawberries! I love the pick your own!”

“Such a great farm and experience”
