A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Georgia.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Visited Mercier Orchards during our trip to Blue Ridge and absolutely loved it. The place is huge with a vast selection of fresh fruits, bakery items, wines for tasting, and plenty of cute souvenirs to browse. The apple cider was honestly one of the highlights for us. It was so good that my family ended up buying a dozen to bring back. We also went blueberry picking and had such a fun experience. Everything was very well organised and easy, even for families. Beautiful place, friendly atmosphere, and definitely worth visiting if you’re in Blue Ridge.”

“People talk about the orchards, the cider, the snacks—but let me be honest: we go to Mercier Orchards for one reason… the pies. Apple, peach, cherry,- and if you time it right, those rotating flavors like blackberry and strawberry? That’s the real treasure. I’ve heard there are actual apple trees somewhere on the property, but I’ve yet to see them… I’m usually too busy making a beeline for the bakery case. If you know, you know—this place is a pie destination disguised as an orchard.”

“WOW this place is absolutely amazing!!! We had the best time here for my bachelorette trip! Us girls took part in the cider tasting and every flavor was absolutely delicious! We then ended our experience with the best tractor tour from Jimmy and he was such a highlight of our trip! Thank you orchards for handling our fun time and having a store filled with such yummy things for us to buy! WILL BE BACK! 10/10”

“My son-in-law, daughter and I went strawberry picking on Friday morning. It was my son-in-law's first time picking strawberries. Jimmy was our guide so to speak on our ride to the strawberry fields. He was a wealth of information and very funny. He made the trip to the strawberry field very enjoyable and had me laughing. The strawberries were amazing!”

“Blueberry picking was such an enjoyable experience with our two little ones. It was fun to ride the tractor down and sample the blueberries as we picked. The frozen apple cider was delicious as was the apple donut and apple fritter. We snagged lots of goodies from the market. The entire staff was friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend!”

“Lovely experience. Hand pies are a must, the croissants are super buttery and flakey. Stop and try the fresh fruits and see tons of cutesy handcrafted kitchenware, gardenware, and Amish gifts and food. Take the tractor ride to learn the history and view the open orchards. Don't miss the picture opportunities!”

“Wonderful! We stopped here on our way back home to Chattanooga and really enjoyed the cider and fried hand pies! We ended up doing a cider flight and sharing it. Will definitely return especially in the Fall! 10/10 for the peach and blackberry cream hand pies! Delicious!”
