Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kentucky.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I cannot say enough good things about this place! Middle Springs Farm is a breath of fresh air in our busy world. The farm regularly has fun scheduled events and is big enough to be known by people but not so crowded that it makes it nearly impossible to enjoy, like many other local farms. We’ve visited both in the fall and spring, and both seasons have provided ample joy for my littles. Today we played with baby lambs and took pictures, and it was worth every penny. While we were leaving the farm, we were already marking our calendars for the next round of fun there. It makes me feel like I’m back home in the country, that my kids could safely play and run without any worries, and that the world is just a little bit calmer. This place is a true gem!”

“We went there yesterday, All of us had a blast. The flower fields seem endless are breathtaking. The owner has done so much for just $9.95 admission. It’s not only Well maintain and beautiful but also petting zoo and playground are bonus! The kids in our group don’t want to leave. The 10 miles country drive to Paris , KY is so tranquil. ( we’re from Louisville) . I saw some people came on foot with their kids took some pictures and left . I guess they are neighbors.. Look what the owner is contributing to his community. He gave them (and us ) life long beautiful memories !don’t think twice, just go!! You won’t regret it! Superb !! A+++++++”

“Loved the farm so much today. The flower fields were beautiful, birds were chirping everywhere, and the whole place felt so peaceful and relaxing. We saw chickens, goats, llamas, and even peacocks. One thing I really liked was how clean and well cared for the entire farm looked. It felt nice getting away from everything for a while. There was probably even more to explore during events, but even our regular visit was really fun and calming.”

“Wow! It was so nice not having to go to one of the big default “pumpkin patch” places, because this one is clearly family run (in a great way). This farm was great for a quiet day! The flowers were beautiful, and you don’t see something like this often in Lexington. They had Gatorade zero for purchase, which I loved! SUPER affordable. $7.95 or something for admission and $12 to fill a whole small vase!”

“We visited this farm for their Daffodil Days event today. It was such a beautiful drive out from Lexington. The farm is gorgeous with a great view of the surrounding hills. We picked flowers, pet pigs, goats, and lambs, played on the playground, searched for Easter eggs, made giant bubbles, and just enjoyed the gorgeous day. The kids had a wonderful time and we look forward to our next visit.”

“Middle Springs is a relaxing family fun farm! My family always enjoys coming out whether it’s picking beautiful flowers or searching for that perfect pumpkin! My son and niece absolutely love the petting zoo and farm playground! I will always recommend middle springs to anyone with kids or if your just looking for a relaxing afternoon!”

“Attended the poppy festival this weekend and was not disappointed. Amazing Feilds full of flowers, dog friendly, which is nice and lots of space to move around did not feel crowded at all.”

“There is an admission to get in and extra to do flower cuttings. Supplies are provided. Take bug spray due to biting flies. This is a great place to visit and family pic nic.”
