Nevada City Farmers Market

“This was our first visit to the farmers market and we absolutely loved it. From locally grown mushrooms, veggies, fruit, and flowers to handmade jewelry, soaps, baskets, and food, we were so impressed by the quality of everything. We could tell the community loves it since there was a fun, social spirit to the market. Highly recommend!!”

“It’s such a joy to have the market every Saturday. We have a nice variety of vendors. I regularly pick up produce (greens & mushrooms mostly) and I always opt for a hot tea or coffee. They also have a wide variety of food (traditional American cuisine as well as Ethiopian & Indian just to name a few options.”

“Not too big. Not too crowded. Plenty of street parking if u don't mind walking over and down the hill from the actual market. They do have really delicious fruit stands and some pretty unique and beautiful artwork/crafts. Everything is a tad pricey, but that pretty much par for the course in this kitchy (hippy) town. I would go early to avoid the crowds and heat. This entire city is a "smoke free zone." So, if you happen to be a death stick user, like moi, be prepared to go without for a few hours.”

“This is one of the cozier farmers markets that I've been to: maybe 25 vendors at most and I would usually need a map, but not here. I think there is a nice variety of produce, dairy, bath/home goods -- but I think one of the stand-out market stalls was the lady with the bread. Apparently she makes her own sourdough starter and the rye we had was delicious.”
