“I can't speak more highly of my experience with Mountain Bounty Farm. I love getting our box every week. The veggies are incredibly fresh and I get an outstanding variety for an amazing price. I have saved money on groceries since starting the CSA. I love that I get to expose my kids to new veggies and learn how to prepare them. I love getting to support local farms and I think it's amazing that Mountain Bounty puts so much effort into giving back to those in need. I love the option to donate boxes when I'm out of town or to funds for those who can't afford the box. I think it speaks a lot to their priorities and values as a company. To further speak to this, their customer service is top notch. They are quick to respond, incredibly kind, helpful, and overall just make the experience so easy and enjoyable. If you're on the fence about signing up, I would strongly encourage you to give it a try. There's a learning curve with figuring out which order to use your veggies before more perishable ones spoil and you will learn how to store certain veggies to keep them fresh for longer. But this is a small task to complete in exchange for the freshest veggies you can imagine! Plus MBF makes this easy to do with their provided veggie storage brochure! There it is folks, no downsides. Just fresh, local veggies from people who care. P.s. I once received leeks that could pass for a baseball bat! I got a weeks worth of meals just from those alone! Amazing!”

“No going back! Besides little odds and ends at the grocery store- we won’t be going back to the grocery store for the majority of our family’s produce. We are so happy with the quality and variety of our fruit and vegetable share. We had always wanted to join a CSA and were surprised to find Mountain Bounty Farm is able to deliver right here in South Lake Tahoe. We have not been disappointed with quality one single time. Also, the farm itself is clearly very invested in the community and food education - from sharing recipes for how to use your weekly produce, to hosting community events. Wow we are so impressed. “We have been members of Mountain Bounty Farm for almost 10 years now. Their produce is incredibly fresh and their weekly boxes have a great variety of items. I love that they include the basics like onions, garlic, celery, and carrots (the carrots are incredible!) along with seasonal specialties like summer melons, snap peas, and asparagus. Their weekly box feeds our vegetarian family of 5 and I rarely have to buy other vegetables. We are so grateful to have access to such amazing food through their CSA membership.”

“I have enjoyed Mountain Bounty Farm's CSA box for years and I have never been disappointed. The quality of the produce is great, and I am sure to always get what is in season. I have also sporadically taken advantage of their seasonal boxes (such as tomatoes and peaches) to make preserves, and have been so happy with it. They do a great job for the community and hire many young people. If I didn't have to move, I would not have cancelled my CSA subscription box!”
