“Our visit to ʻOhana Ranch was nothing short of transformative. Bringing my students here turned into one of the most meaningful learning experiences we’ve ever had ! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine aloha. Riding ATVs through the farm was unforgettable—students were fully immersed in the ʻāina, learning about native plants and animals in a way no classroom could ever replicate. What truly set this experience apart was the people. The ranchers shared their ʻike, moʻolelo, and manaʻo with such authenticity and heart. Their deep commitment to perpetuating Hawaiian culture and serving their community was evident in every interaction. It wasn’t just a tour—it was a connection. Working in their mala by cleaning and harvesting kalo gave students a hands-on understanding of kuleana and respect for the land. When we came together to oli as a group, you could feel the mana—it was powerful, grounding, and deeply moving. Every part of the day was intentional, safe, and incredibly well guided. My students didn’t just learn—they felt, connected, and grew. We left inspired, grateful, and forever changed. ʻOhana Ranch is a truly special place. Regardless if you live on the islands or visiting, I cannot recommend this experience enough!! For anyone wanting to understand, honor, and experience Hawaiian culture in a real and meaningful way go to 'Ohana Ranch!! Mahalo nui to this hui!! Me ke aloha a me ka ha'aha'a , Kumu Christine.”

“All I can say is this experience went beyond any expectations I had. I have done other ATV tours but this was by far the BEST. I came to big island for a weekend vacation with friends from Oahu and we were just blown away by how much fun it was. Hilo always rains and we did get drenched but it was all part of the fun. They had boots for us even going up to size 14 which my friend used. The rain added to the fun because we got to ride through puddles but surprisingly we didn't get dirty. Being born and raised in Hawaii I know a lot about the culture and about the plants but I actually gained a lot more knowledge through this tour. Our tour guides Hannah and Keoki were so amazing and had so much knowledge. We passed animals along the way and you start off on a good slow speed just to get used to it and then they kick it up a little and off you go. 2 hours of fun and education was well worth it. Couldn't ask for a better experience. I will definitely book again every time I visit. I highly recommend getting glasses that can record because you need both hands to ride. I got some good footage while riding with meta glasses using voice commands to record and take pictures. dont wait to book. JUST DO IT!!!!! =)”

“We had a wonderful experience at Ohana Ranch, and Kaulani was a huge part of what made it so memorable. He was extremely knowledgeable, warm, and engaging throughout the tour. What stood out most was his passion for sharing the native culture, history, and traditions of Hawaiʻi. His pride in the island came through in such an authentic way, and it gave us a much deeper appreciation for the place, the people, and the land. This was a truly memorable experience, and I would highly recommend Ohana Ranch especially if you have the chance to tour with Kaulani”

“Amazing experience for the family. Learned so much from our guides Hannah and Keoki about Ohana Ranch and native Hawaii. This tour was a blast, but what stuck with us most was learning how much the United States has shaped Hawaii, for better and worse, and how important it is to respect the land and culture. Riding through those landscapes was unreal, and the guides made it feel safe, fun, and grounded in real history. We leave with a deeper appreciation for the island’s natural beauty and a reminder to travel thoughtfully.”

“Maka'ala & Logan were wonderful guides! The ranch is so big and lush and beautiful! Loved learning the history and learning about the local vegetation. They had a super cute friendly pig and dog. It felt like being with extended family you haven't seen in a long time. They gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip at the gift shop where I picked up some lemonade, kombucha and honey. Great place, super happy to support a local business like Ohana Ranch!”

“Ohana ranch atv riding was awesome! I had so much fun driving and splashing through the mud puddles! Hannah was also AWESOME! She was super informative about the native and non native biodiversity of the trails and of the island, in addition to some Hawaiian folklore storytelling that was super interesting! Overall I had a really fun time and would definitely come back here and do it again the next time I visit Hawai'i!”

“Coffee Tour. Jacqueline was fantastic and super knowledgeable on a wide range of topics ranging from the farm, lava, and other geological intricacies. The tour was super laid back and was super conversational and we learned a lot about the coffee making process. My wife and I had a great time and would highly recommend.”
