What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Indiana, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Indiana.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: American Express, Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“We enjoyed a lovely fall Saturday at this beautiful family owned local winery! Inside the facility, you will find a warm and cozy space staffed by super friendly knowledgeable folks! The outdoor space is so peaceful and enjoyable and offers a variety of options to enjoy your time - tables in the shade/under cover, picnic tables, corn hole game, bird feeders and art installations, etc. Owen Valley Winery's food menu and regular wine offerings are great, and it just so happened that when we visited, they were having their special Uplands Nouveau Release Celebration! We decided to take advantage of the accompanying special menu and drink offerings - Pineapple Nouveau Spritzer, Pepper and Peel, French Onion soup, Fig/Goat Cheese/Caramelized Onion flatbread, and Dark Sweet Cherry Cheesecake (ok, so we had one slice of cheesecake there and took another back home with us as well! 😜) It was an awesome afternoon - perfect food, drink, weather, and company. We'll be back often!”

“We have been members of the Owen Valley Winery for almost two years. Not only is the atmosphere very peaceful and relaxing, but the food is delicious! I've had most items on the menu - from homemade soups (love the soups!) to panini sandwiches, charcuterie boards, and even salads! Everything I've ever gotten has been top notch! I love that it's a family owned business! The owner, Tony, is very friendly and his love of wine, food and community shines through! They offer live music on the weekends also! Fridays are 'Cheesecake Friday' - definitely worth the trip! If you are looking for a quaint establishment that is more of a 'Mom & Pop' place - with homemade delicious menu items and desserts - and a great variety of wine - hit this place up!”

“Definitely out of the way to get to but worth it. Staff has ALWAYS been friendly and helpful . They have some unique wines that others do not carry. They have you covered from dry to sweets. Nice food to add on to have with the wine. Doing the wine club worth it unless you just plan to not drink wine anymore. Great place to sit outside there and enjoy the peaceful setting while drinking their wine . They have events from time to time that are worth checking out. You'll be surprised by this winery that is so out of the way. Just don't give up on it since is in the country. Cheers!”

“Beautiful and scenic winery to enjoy the outdoors. Went for my birthday February 28th. It was 70 degrees! They had the best flatbread pizzas. The food menu had lots of options. The wine was great! We got Chambourcin Rose' and loved it. It is so much better than Oliver winery's Chambourcin Rose'. It was worth the 1 hour and 40 minute drive. Our favorite in the area. They even sung Happy Birthday!! Everyone is so friendly that works there. If you have not been here don't miss this hidden gem!”

“We finally made the trip to this wonderful winery and will be going back again. They have a lovely space outdoors to enjoy some wine and delicious food when the weather is nice. The employees were friendly and patient answering any questions we had. I’m not a huge cheesecake fan but the butterscotch cheesecake was amazing and the slices were generous!”

“Very comfortable winery out in the Indiana countryside. Extensive wine list from sweets to dry to fruited and everything in between. Cozy outside space full of green trees, grapevines, picnic tables, and games. Beautiful place to spend a lazy afternoon.”

“We have been to nearly every winery in Indiana, and this one has the best wine in almost every varietal than any of them by far! Very nice atmosphere as well. You will love it!!”

“Great place ! Have both indoor and outdoor seating . Plentiful wine selection and wine slushie . Didn’t get to try pie but the red wines were absolutely deliscious. Left w a box”
