What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for New York, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“My husband and I LOVED picking here, it was really fun. But, some tips are needed to be able to really have a good time. First, the drive to the berry patch is crazy, I was so glad we have a Subaru. It's a steep gravel driveway with big rocks. I wouldn't have even tried the drive if we were in my old Carolla. Second, they have a help yourself station, which is quite cool! But they only accept cash. When I went it was $4/quart and they provided the quart baskets for you! Third, the rows are fairly over run. I wore sandals and regretted it. There were some thorns and stuff that would have been easier to walk around with boots or at least sneakers on. However, you feel like you are out in the woods picking berries! It's fun, and I loved listening to the birds and finding the occasional bear scat! :-) I will definitely come again and suggest my friends and family do so as well.”

“Great first experience picking blueberries! Wasn’t exactly expecting the unpaved road up from the sign for the farm. If we weren’t using a gps, likely would have missed it but it was good once we knew we were in the right place. The owner was kind enough to show us exactly what type/color of blueberries are ready to be picked. Appreciate that the containers used to pick the blueberries are sanitized after each person uses them. We walked away with 2 quarts of blueberries and some fun.”

“As of Aug 20th they are closed for the 2021 season. I went earlier in the month and there were plenty of berries at the beginning of August! The owner is very friendly. He offers buckets you can wear around your neck so both your hands are free for more efficient picking :) the berries themselves are smaller than conventional grocery store blueberries but more flavorful.”

“Very nice place and very nice owner .A lot of varieties of blueberries. We were picking in other places but this became our favorite! I suggest to use smaller container for picking. And don't overload.Berries are big and juicy with tendency to crash on the bottom. Happy picking!”

“Great little blueberry patch for u-pick berries. Cash only, so be sure to bring small bills as payment is on the honor system and there may not be change in the bucket.”
