“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We've been visiting Pilot Mountain Pears for years, and it’s become a cherished family tradition! Every August, we look forward to picking Asian pears, which is always a fun and memorable experience. The owner is incredibly sweet and accommodating, making our visits even more enjoyable. We absolutely love the pear slushy drinks and make sure to stock up on their delicious pear juice. This year, they had a delightful bonus: we could pick wildflowers! As a wildflower enthusiast, it was such a treat. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic family outing!”

“A must when visiting WNC, the orchard is absolutely gorgeous and the pears are delicious! Not to mention the fried pies, baked turnovers and the pear slushies are out of this world!! The owners and staff are so welcoming and helpful, my family had the best time spending the day there. One of the employees even went out of her way to help my daughter reach a pear she was trying to get!! We will continue to go every year!! The most peaceful place to spend the day!!”

“Loved our very first visit here! Even after Hurricane Helene and all of its challenges, the wonderful people at Pilot Mountain Pears opened for one last weekend. We had a great time doing the u-pick and the Asian pears are AMAZING. So crisp and sweet. I have made hand pies, Asian Pear Five Spice Bundt cake, Asian pear dumplings, and Pear sauce (like apple sauce). We will definitely be back next year!”

“Pilot Mountain Pears is such a great place to get Asian Pears! My family come every year to pick them and usually about twice a season, when they are open. The workers are very nice and the apple turnovers and pies are cooked to perfection! Asian Pears are more crunchy than the usually store bought pears and they are mostly shaped like an apple! I highly recommend everyone to go there.”

“Friendly staff, delicious apple pies and pear slushies. We went on the last U pick weekend so it was challenging to find good pears, but when we tasted them at home they were crunchy and sweet. Just wished they had actual restrooms as it was so hard for kids to use the ones there..”
