Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in South Carolina.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We had a lovely experience picking blueberries! I chose this u pick farm because it's close, family owned, and organic! Things to know before you go: -bug spray. It's not terrible, but ideal if you have some! Just some flies and the odd mosquito here and there. -This is mostly self directed and cash-only, so bring $20 for your gallon of berries and your common sense. -there are so many kitty cats and they are all so friendly! They hang out in the parking area, so please be careful :) my kids loved petting the kittens. There's also some chickens who came poking around and my kids loved seeing them. -when you are looking at the parking area, there is a shed. To the right of the shed are some blueberry bushes, but to the left and maybe 50 yards back, there's the main patch. We didn't know and the lovely gentleman working there showed us where to go. -there are a few buckets to pick with, but you'll have to bring a container to take your berries home in. There may be some provided that I didn't see, but I brought my own anyway. My kids and I had the best time! The blueberries are delicious and sweet, great price for the experience+organic, local berries, and seems to be a super sweet family farm. We will definitely be back before the season ends!”

“We took our chances on a place a little closer to home but with very few ratings…. So glad we did! Small family run, doesn’t have the bells & whistles other u-pick places have to make more $ but that’s okay- we came for the blueberries and we were not disappointed. :) We were happy to leave with 3 gallons of pesticide-free delicious blueberries for just $40. We packed a lunch, ate that by the car after a morning pick (we got there before 10 so the heat was bareable) and headed home.. a great morning outing!”

“The PK bluberry patch is definitely one of the Lugoff-Elgin area's hidden gems. Nothing fancy, it's a family run, "U-Pick" blueberry farm. They provide the buckets, and a place to bag what you've picked. It was a fun little adventure for my husband and me and the Blueberries are delicious! We will be back!”

“Great place to take our little one to pick blueberries! Self-serve option is great, and be sure to bring cash. We’re still eating yummy blueberries from our trip in early June.”
