“Our family visits Pleasant Pond Orchard every year, and stops by their booth at the Bath Farmers Market. They have a terrific variety of apples, a few baked goods, maple syrup, homemade granola, and sometimes fudge at their shop on Rt 24 in Richmond. If you have the time you can learn a lot by speaking with them about the various apples they grow, as they are happy to share what they've learned over the years. One of the best things about their shop is also the simplest - they place a characteristics sheet on each box of apples so you can tell at a glance if it is sweet or tart, and whether it is best for eating, cooking, baking, or all of the above. Very handy when you are staring at twelve or fifteen varieties!”
“Very nice experience, we enjoyed blackberries and blueberries picking. So big place to explore while we were at our camping near by. The owner was so friendly. There were peaches, apple and plum trees too. My kids loved juicy and sweet berries they picked on their own.”
