Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Vermont.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We held a Jack and Jill wedding shower at Red Barn Gardens this past Saturday and it was simply wonderful! Our group was about 45 people. This location has plenty of space for seating, food tables and gift tables, all within the greenhouse. It was so beautiful with lots of hanging plants and greenery, and though we added some décor, you could probably get away with doing less. The venue supplied tables and white folding chairs, and we added white tablecloths, garlands from the ceiling, and a few photo displays and a favors station, plus a speaker with some background music. There is not a kitchen on site, but we brought in BBQ take-out and provided drinks in coolers and it was just great. We took advantage of the outdoor lawn spaces for corn hole and croquet which everyone enjoyed. Parking was plentiful in the lower field and the barn offered extra space for staging our supplies. There is lots of room to roam around and the grounds feel private. Many of our guests complimented our venue. It provided that fashionable rustic-yet-elegant and laid-back vibe that we were seeking. Joe Weaver was very easy and accommodating to work with. He always answered my phone calls with questions and welcomed us to visit multiple times to plan our event. We were able to come the day before to set up as much as possible, too, which really made it easier on us for the day of the party. They helped with parking cars and were immediately available to provide anything we might need, but at the same time were also comfortable just letting us use their space without hovering at all. I would definitely book this again!”

“We recently hosted my sister’s baby shower at Red Barn Gardens and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Joe, the owner, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. The space itself is absolutely beautiful. So many of our guests commented on the greenhouse and how charming and well kept everything was. The hanging baskets and flowers everywhere added such a special touch that we didn’t need to go overboard on decor. It was the perfect setting for our group of about 50 people and still felt intimate and inviting. We also loved that we had plenty of time for both setup and cleanup, which made the day feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed. The venue is located at Joe’s home, with parking conveniently set up in a nearby field, which worked out seamlessly for our guests. While the booking and planning felt a bit more traditional, it actually made everything feel more personal and special. We appreciated the opportunity to meet and communicate in person rather than relying solely on online interactions. Every detail felt intentional and well cared for. We are so grateful for such a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Red Barn Gardens for a smaller, intimate event. Thank you Weaver Family!”

“Amazing!! What a great place for a party! The hosts were 150% wonderful!! They were so accommodating and so kind and helped in any way that they could. My stepfather was in a wheelchair and they laid down planks so we could wheel him into the facility. They also helped guide people with parking and lent me utensils for the food as well as a lighter for the candles. It’s a greenhouse so they have heating if you need it and they also have lots of flowers around ( that are for sale ) for beautiful decorating ! Loved it! Highly recommend ❤️”

“This place is a real gem! It was the perfect location for our big anniversary party: out-of-town guests and locals alike couldn't stop raving about the beautiful grounds and greenhouse. We loved getting to decorate, and the field of zinnias was a perfect backdrop for toasts. Carolyn and Joe are kind, considerate and super accommodating. We would recommend RBG to anyone looking for a DIY-style venue with a big heart and true Vermont character.”

“We had the most beautiful baby shower at Red Barn Gardens. The greenhouse setting was stunning—bright, peaceful, and perfect for our “Baby in Bloom” theme. The owner was amazing and so accommodating, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the space—such a special experience! 🤍”

“We had a bridal shower with just under 40 people. The owner is a joy to work with. They supply the table and chairs and hanging baskets are in the greenhouse area. We decorated and brought our own food and drinks. It was a great space would recommend Plus the cost is very reasonable”

“We had my bridal shower here and it was absolutely amazing, it was gorgeous and everyone loved how it looked! Despite the weather being a bit warm fans were placed inside and it wasn’t bad at all! Absolutely gorgeous and recommended a million times over!!!”

“I had my baby shower here, March 21st despite the snow storm we had the greenhouse was kept nice and warm and it was so beautiful! Totally recommend renting this place for any type of showers or birthday parties!”
