Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Vermont.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I’ve been going to Whitcombs for years to buy pumpkins for Halloween decorations. I always buy giant pumpkins because it catches the kids attention and even parents. You’d be surprised how inexpensive they are at Whitcomb’s. And if you’re old like me, they do all the lifting putting it in your vehicle. It’s a great place with friendly staff and owners..”

“An every year favorite! Dog friendly (on leash). We love this maze as it has other fun tasks inside the maze. You can find every checkpoint for a piece of candy and can even look for hidden symbols in the corn for a prize (this year was a free small pumpkin I believe). Such a blast!”

“Funny story, came and forgot cash but scrounged up just enough quarters for a cute small Cinderella. The owner was so nice and agreed to our price. Next time we will bring cash. Definitely a wonderful spot to pick up pumpkins and gourds for decoration or eating.”

“Very sweet family-run operation. Corn maze was fun and very entertaining for the group of kids I was with (9 yrs, 8yrs, 5yrs). Good selection of pumpkins to pick from. Definitely recommend!”

“Had a blast doing the corn maze. The way it's structured to complete the various tasks makes it a lot more fun and engaging!”

“Fun little corn maze! Maybe a tad shorter than I was hoping for, but still a good time. Though they had this thing where if you found an apple picture on a corn leaf and took it to the entrance you got a free pumpkin, but we searched high and low and never managed to find one. I feel like they either made it a tad too difficult or all of them were gone by the time we did the maze and they didn't replenish the pictures, which was a tad disappointing. But overall we had fun.”

“Cute spot for a quick corn maze event. It’s not too big, good for maybe a half hour or so.”

“If I could give less than 1 star I would. Without getting in to everyone’s personal lives, they made a family hoses less for their greed and desire to expand a failing business. It started innocent enough, played the sad card to me, but in the end it was strictly to benefit them and their profits. That doesn’t sound very family friendly to me? That’s all the details I will put online, but if you run into me I will happily explain my feelings, just not online.”
