Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Indiana.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This was our first time going to Russell Farms. We were told by friends and coworkers that this was the place to go. Russell Farms did not disappoint and lived up to the hype we had heard. Our son had a blast. It was a safe and open environment that allowed us to enable our son to get out of his stroller and explore on his own. We had a blast following him around as he checked out every inch of what Russell Farms had to offer. He got in the pin with the goats and after being in there for almost 30 minutes a line had formed so we had to let others get in but he didn't want to leave the goats. Not until he found the geese that is. He went round and round that geese enclosure countless times trying to quack at them. Wasn't until the turkeys started gobbling did his attention get deverted. The play areas were awasome. He loved the wooden train and the stack of tractor tires filled with sand. We we got to the more age appropriate play area he was loving it as well. from spinning around on the disk where his belly laugh came out to exploring the metal cars. We went out to the pumpkin patch via the hay ride. We had just had a large rain and knew it would be muddy but went anyway expecting to have to change our sons clothes. The tractor ride was waiting for us to pick our pumpkins so we didn't feel we could spend a lot of time out there as everyone else didn't want to to explore in the mud. We was later told we could have just told the driver we would get the next one. Nevertheless, we found pumpkins at the front just before leaving that we liked and the price was great. We did not eat any food while here so I can not say much about it other than there is two locations you can get something to eat and plenty of picnic tables and seating areas to eat at. Highly recommend Russell Farms to be part of your fall activities. We will be going back and join our friends and coworkers in telling others to make a visit.”

“My family and I like to visit a lot of different pumpkin patches and apple orchards each fall, and there are many good ones here in central Indiana. This was our first visit to Russell Farms Pumpkin Patch and it’s definitely one of my favorites. There are lots of fun activities, all included with the entry fee. My 2 and 5 year old granddaughters had a great time. One of the things that elevates this pumpkin patch above some of the others is the staff. Russell Farms seemed to have far more staff on hand than most, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Drove 1 hour and 45 minutes and it was well worth it. Such a huge place and a ton of different things for the kids to do like Seesaws, enormous bouncy slide, multiple playgrounds, putt putt golf to name a few. Port-o-pots for restrooms but plenty of hand sanitizer stations everywhere and the staff was constantly sanitizing surfaces.”

“Lovely family outing! This place has a petting zoo, slide, bounce houses, tractor/barrel rides, corn maze, pumpkin picking, little shops and some rides. Well worth the admission fee. They offer military discount and large group discount (15+).”

“I was happy to find this place, our family had a great time. One price & everything is included. Activities, hayride, bounce house, mazes, a couple rides. My kids, 3yrs-13yrs, had a great time. They really enjoyed themselves.”

“This place is great!! My daughter loved it! Lots to do except to spend a few hours or more-bunch houses, 26ft inflatable slide, corn mazes, pig races and apple cider slush just to name a few things!”

“Such a wonderful time and the staff is always so friendly. Became best friends with the older gentleman walking with his big staf. I want his job making the massive hot dogs.”

“Had a blast and bought a ton of stuff. Loved the animals, food and fun activities. Me and my Wife enjoyed all the stuff they provided :)”
