Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Michigan.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“Always fun to pick your own strawberries. Southwest Michigan is a great place to live. This was the second to the last day for pucking but there were plenty of berries to pick. Commercial harvesters went through the fields yesterday so most of the very large ones were gone but still plenty of juicy berries. The farmer's son said the best berries are before the end of the 3rd week of June. I'll definitely remember that next year.”

“I absolutely love there strawberries!!! They keep it so clean and nice there and they are great people. I love looking out my window and seeing the first day ya hat people pick. That means fresh fruit and veggies are on there way. Thank you for growing the strawberries for our area. It is greatly appreciated”

“Kids and mommy loved it. Friendly staff. Big large berries. Even picked up the cutest red t shirt for $25, they now carry limited merch. This big bowl of berries was $25.50 and delicious. 🍓💜”

“Extremely friendly, easy to find and all the strawberries your heart desires! Dogs not allowed on the field, but it really makes for a special day with family”

“Highly recommend!! We got so many delicious strawberries for such a great price. Will be back! Just fyi it’s cash or check only”

“So the strawberries were great easy to find. But we have an official service puppy with canine companions that we are raising and she would let him in. He was wearing his vest and I gave her an official pamphlet explaining us and our role and puppy raising and she said no dogs including service animals. So even if you have an official service dog you will not be allowed in.”

“Friday afternoon staff lady super rude. Not family friendly. Getting mad at little children for accidentally going past the flags of where to pick. Staff lady kept telling children not to run, “this isn’t a grocery store, you can’t just take as much as you want” when referring to u pic-it’s u pic so not sure why you couldn’t pick as much as you want? Kids not allowed to eat more than “3 strawberries during picking” which understand you shouldn’t just go to u pick and eat a ton but also that is part of the fun for kids and how much is a 2 year old really going to eat. Was rude to other families while we were there too and they also commented on it to us. Would not go again, took fun out of it for a family with kids.”
