Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Oh my goodness, I haven’t stoped talking about this orchard for a couple years now. Not only were the apples and cider delicious, but the older lady working was a sweetheart! She was helpful in my apple decision making and conversation, and she even sent me home with the prettiest gourd! Please show Schroeder’s Orchard some love this fall!”
“Best apples and prices. You have questions about which apples to use for baking and their suggestions are spot on”
