“What a Gem Eastern Market is and has always been for the community of Detroit. Giving local artists, farmers, creatives, and everyone in between a space to exercise community is starting to become a not so rare commodity in Detroit but it used to be! And Eastern Market has been a pioneer in making that a reality and setting the blueprint for similar spaces to coexist. Whether you’re getting fish from the local market or buying a piece of art hand painted from the local artist, you get to have a front row seat in the resurgence of Detroit in real time. This all inclusive space holds equity in diversity, allowing all facets of class, race, intellect, and social cultures alike the opportunity to come together and trade joy, smiles, conversations, and maybe even a phone number or two as I repeatedly say Detroit has thee best looking people I’ve ever seen. Not to mention it’s very safe as cops are everywhere all the time but not in the Big Brother feel, for once it feels like they finally have a genuine interest in the safety of our community. The pics you’ll find associated with this post is from Eastern Market After Dark 2025, highlighting one of the many events hosted in a space that truly exalts coming together above anything else. I truly hope you find the time to visit and support this Detroit gem!”

“The eastern market is a staple of Detroit. It's so wonderful full of fresh produce and goodies. I've been going here since I was a little girl and have to visit everything I come home. Some of the produce is overpriced, so it's best to wait until close to close, and they will give it away. Some vendors are fair. You have to shop around to find the best deals. You have to go if you are visiting Michigan.”

“Eastern Market was hopping today temperature was mid-80s it was flower day and this place is absolutely awesome in the springtime. Granted the flowers tend to be a little bit on the higher price side but the variety you can get in one location is out of this world. It's an experience, come down and spend 3 to 4 hours you won't regret it.”

“Just love heading down to Eastern Market and all the different parts of it. They have a really fresh variety of vegetables and flowers. Also a great variety of different food vendors with excellent quality items to devour.”

“We celebrated flower day with my parents. We also got to eat some sweet treats from the food truck 🚚”

“Lots of good produce, food, music, and good stuff. 🙂 We had fun there.”

“Really neat place. Lots of plants, food, etc. I liked looking around. My wife found several things to purchase. Chips and salsa was a big hit. We heard things will get a lot busier as we get more into spring.”

“Still a vibrant market with plenty of vendors. A staple and a must Saturday day visit. I miss the peanut company and fish market. Especially the sausage pitas.”
