Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Missouri.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“A festive fall wonderland—Shepherd’s PumpkinFest in Branson is packed with family fun and unforgettable memories! We spent a full day at Shepherd’s PumpkinFest in Branson, MO, and it was one of the highlights of our autumn trip. The festival is beautifully set up with a wide variety of activities that kept our kids entertained from start to finish. From the petting zoo—where they got to feed goats and llamas—to the bounce house, hayride, and tube slide, every corner offered something new and exciting. 🎃 The treehouse walk and mini golf course were perfect for a little adventure and friendly competition. There’s even a kid’s corn pit, obstacle course, and pumpkin painting station. The staff were friendly and patient, and the whole area was clean, safe, and well-organized. 🍕 There’s a pizza stand and restaurant nearby, so it’s easy to grab lunch without leaving the fun. We appreciated the shaded seating areas and photo ops scattered throughout the grounds—especially the pumpkin house and scarecrow stations. 📍 After the festival, you can explore other Shepherd of the Hills attractions like the Inspiration Tower, Copperhead Mountain Coaster, or the outdoor drama show. It’s all walkable and makes for a full day of entertainment. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Whether you’re local or visiting Branson, PumpkinFest is a must for families looking to celebrate fall with laughter, learning, and play.”

“We had the best time! Honestly, I was surprised by all there was to do. It was well worth the money! We took a day to do something other than Silver Dollar City and this was just as fun! Our 5 and 8 year old had a blast and we didn't even get to do everything...we ran out of time. Plenty of things for littles to adults. Highly recommend!”

“Our grandson had blast! One recommendation would be to have electric wheelchairs to rent. We would have stayed longer but my legs couldn't go any more.”

“We took the whole family. We had all different ages and there was something for everyone. Of course the long waits for the mega slide was the kids least favorite part. I hope Shepherd of the Hills will add another Mega Slide. We are locals so we will definitely be back and come for all seasons celebration through out the year with family. I would really appreciate a locals discount to be offered. I would suggest more seating, benches, trash cans and restrooms be added throughout the park. There is lots and lots of walking but not enough seating, benches, trash cans, water fountains and restrooms. Please add some vending machines throughout the park so more drinks and eating options are available. I think adding name tags for all the animals and a few facts about the goats, rabbits, donkeys etc. would be cute and could be teaching moments with the kids. I also really enjoyed all the photo props like to giant chair and lots of places to take pictures. I look forward to seeing more added each year. The hayride was great. Thank you for driving through the amphitheater. It was a great selling point because we are wanting to come and watch a show now. We had no idea there was a outdoor amphitheater. Could Shepherd of the Hills please add more signs throughout the park for all the things that are offered? There is lots of marketing signs when you first get to Shepherd of the Hills and by the entrance but not much throughout the park. Overall very satisfied and enjoyed the Pumpkin Fest. I would recommend this and will be returning with the family. Thank you, Kristine Hawkins”

“We arrived around 4 to enjoy the activities then do the pumpkins aglow. We did add the mountain coaster to the general admission. There was a lot to do with plenty of areas to visit before the pumpkins alglow. The staff at the coaster were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because some of the areas close a little earlier, one being the tube slide. We had grabbed a tube and the guy(staff)turned around and told us it was closed ..it was 6:02, it closes at 6. So needless to say we were a little bummed.”

“The fest was cute for younger children, not much for teens. The wait for the Vigilante Extreme Zipride was ridiculous. Arrived at ticket time, took more than an hour to actually ride Ziprider. Decorations were nice, but not really worth the ticket price.”
