Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Nebraska.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“🎃🍁🧡What a wonderful time we had at Skinny Bones!! So much beauty to see, just outside of Omaha, in Blair, and so many fun things to do! We took my three year old, autistic grandson, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! There’s a lot of fun and interesting things for him to do without being overwhelmed, or too many people. Fun for all ages! The food was delicious and reasonably priced (don’t forget the yummy apple cider donuts before you leave) and the staff, so friendly and helpful! Considering a season pass for next year, it was that great.👍🏼”

“Family had a very fun experience here. My kids are 5 & 9 and equally had tons of fun! The inflatable jumping pillows were the favorite. I would not suggest going in the big corn maze with kids younger than 8, unless they are very patient and like to walk...a lot! 5 year old only enjoyed the first 5 - 10 minutes, was then ready to be done. Took us about 45 to get out. It was not super busy which was also a nice perk, obviously closer to Halloween they get more busy.”

“Everything was fun and everyone there was so friendly! We had a great time! The kids (ranging from 1 year to 7 years) especially liked the jumping area, the corn pit, and the tornado simulator. Be sure to get the animal feed at the ticket barn to feed the animals! The exit barn does have apple butter, honey, home made salsa, and plenty of other things to try! So worth it!”

“First time coming here. And we really loved it. My oldest 15 wouldn't have had a good time but my 8 and 3 year old. Loved every minute. The staff was super nice. The only thing is it seemed expensive. But everything is expensive right now. The corn maze was really fun. And the tilted house.”

“Experience was extravaganza. It’s perfect for little children From a year old all the way up to 11 years old. It’s very affordable. I love it. It’s a bit far to drive but I don’t care. It was so much fun. My grandchildren had a blast. Thank you skin bones.”

“Great pumpkin patch just outside of Omaha! Love that they continue to add more each year. Clean facilities and friendly staff. There’s something for all ages while not being overwhelming.”

“My family and I went to skinny bones today, it was a great place but would love for it to be more handicap accessible. The gravel is super hard to wheel around in, so taking my mom around in a wheelchair was a challenge. They had some of the paths paved around the barn, where you eat but not other places. I think if they made these changes to make it more handicap accessible more people would love to bring their loved ones to this pumpkin patch! The food annd slushes were amazing!”

“My husband and I visited on the last day they were open just to enjoy the beautiful day and to sample some of the food offerings. Most of the employees we came in contact with were pleasant but others didn't even look up from their phones when we entered the different buildings. We really wanted to try the apple slushy with the donut on top so we ordered one at Emma's Food Barn only to find out that they only serve the plain slushy. You have to order the special one at the Sweets and Treats building only. It would've been nice if they were sold at both locations. There was no honey mustard available for the chicken strips. At the Pizza Patch we got a slice of pizza which had no flavor and the funnel cake which was burnt on the bottom. $15 turkey legs seem a bit excessive.”
