“I had the absolute best time at Spring Haven Farm. I went to carve pumpkins with the goats, and somehow it turned into one of those days that just makes you smile the entire drive home. I’ve lived in this area my whole life, and I love that I’m still discovering these “hidden… but not really hidden” local gems that remind me how special this area really is. The goats completely stole the show. The little ones were way more interested in eating my jeans than they were in the pumpkin I was carving — and honestly, I respect the dedication. It felt like I was being gently (and very cutely) mugged for denim. I was laughing the whole time. Being surrounded by all the animals just made the whole experience feel warm, playful, and a little magical in that simple, farm-life kind of way. The farm itself is beautiful, welcoming, and feels like a place where you can slow down for a bit and just enjoy being present. You can tell they truly care about the animals and about giving visitors a great experience. If you’re anywhere near Chapel Hill, I 100% recommend coming out. Bring friends, bring family, or just bring yourself and let the goats decide if your outfit is a snack. I will definitely be back. 🐐🎃”

“Came through the area for a quick visit with my 3 teenage boys. Found this place online and decided to give it a try. The employees at the farm were all so amazing and friendly. Very helpful too even though there didnt seem to be very many. The prices were decent and the animals were really cute and friendly. My boys thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals but birds the most. The shooting range is quick but still fun. We were only able to stay for like 20-30 mins due to a family issue and they ended up not charging us full price. We just rushed through all the things we did. But could have spent so much more time there and would have if possible. Would highly recommend if you get the chance.”

“It was raining when I went there, but the enthusiasm of the children couldn't be stopped by the rain. We love this place so much, the animals are very friendly and cute, My child started to get a little scared, but later completely integrated into the goat herd. This is a great place for children to get close to animals，My one-and-a-half-year-old baby has no problem interacting with animals under his father's guidance. the staff are friendly and patient, the rest area is sufficient and clean, we can't wait to go back again, looking forward to their new activities, I hope their scale can become bigger and bigger, thank them for giving us an unforgettable time.❤️❤️❤️”

“We absolutely had the best time being able to see all the animals on the farm. I enjoyed being able to see the highland cows. There were so many goats and not enough food, LOL. I woud definitely recommend making sure to have plenty because you want to feed every single animal you see. I love that you can go inside the gate with the goats and be able to pet them as well as feed them. I think that was the best part. I also loved how all the stations were set up where you can wash your hands after petting and feeding the animals. This is definitely something I would recommend to do with your kids. It's very kid-friendly and lots to do.”

“This place and the people working there are awesome! Very friendly and super helpful. We came on a pretty rainy week day and we still had a blast. My son didn’t wanna leave and honestly neither did I. It’s a farm, you’re gonna get a little dirty especially if you’re in the pens playing with the goats which is hysterical fun. We didn’t do any of the activities other than feed the animals simply because my son is just a little too young right now but it has SO many fun things for kids to do. We can’t wait to come back”

“Finally had the opportunity to visit. I was not disappointed. I loved all the farm animals we saw. All the animals seemed well cared for and the grounds were well organized and tidy. Loved feeding the younger goats that were wandering around. Truly as place to catch your breath away from hectic schedules.”

“Absolutely amazing! Two adults loved to explore and pet animals. Food is only 1$ per bag and it’s a good amount. You can bring food and snacks for picnicking. Will definitely be back!!”

“My husband took me here for my birthday, and we genuinely had a wonderful time. It was so much fun walking around and interacting with all of the animals. It had rained recently, so it was definitely muddy — not a complaint at all, just a heads up to wear sturdy shoes and maybe bring a second pair for the ride home (it is a farm after all). The ducks were clearly thriving in all the puddles! As someone who has ducks myself, I can confirm they would have been in heaven with that much water and mud. The atmosphere overall was positive, and visitors seemed respectful and happy to help when needed. I did notice that staffing felt a little thin at times. There was someone at the entrance, near the pigs, and around the shopping/game areas, plus one or two staff members walking around (one did step in quickly to break up a rooster scuffle). However, in some of the larger animal areas, it felt like additional supervision might have been helpful. In one of the larger goat pens, several little goats were attempting to slip through the double gate as an older woman was exiting. I helped her guide them back in, but later I did see one roaming outside the enclosure, so it seems they may have escaped. Goats are certainly talented escape artists, and that area in particular seemed like it could benefit from a bit more monitoring. Near the shooting range, I also helped a young girl with a goat who had gotten its back leg caught awkwardly over the fencing. I was able to gently lift her up and she ran off just fine. Before we left, a very small baby goat had gotten separated from its mother and sibling and was trying to find its way back into the pen. I let entrance staff know on our way out, and they assured me they would take care of it. Overall, the animals appeared comfortable and used to interacting with people, which was lovely to see. I did notice one older donkey with a very thick crest on its neck, as well as a turkey that seemed to have a bit of difficulty walking — possibly from enjoying a few too many treats. There was also a very sweet horse separated from the others and I wondered if there may have been a management or health reason for that. We truly enjoyed our visit and appreciated how interactive the experience was. There was plenty of space, with multiple pens that made it easy to give snacks without bumping into too many other people. It was busy but never felt crowded, which makes me think they likely limit the number of visitors — something that’s nice not just for guests, but for the welfare of the animals as well. With just a bit more visible staffing in some of the animal areas, I think it would be an even smoother and more enjoyable experience for both guests and animals. We will definitely be back!”
