Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Ohio.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This is our favorite Apple Orchard to visit in the fall. It's not the closest to us but the owners are SUCH an amazing family. I'm happy to drive farther to support good people. Our toddler especially enjoys playing on the small play area while enjoying an apple slushie! We visit 4-5 times a season!!”
“We always love our visits to Springhill each season. The apples are our faves, cider is the best, and the customer service is always friendly and inviting! We can all hardly wait for them to open each year with their delicious cider slushies too! Yum!!!”
“This family owned and operated Orchard produces some of the finest quality produce available locally. Their prices are reasonable. The sales and processing areas are very clean and well lit. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind and helpful.”
“Great atmosphere, all the ladies were so helpful. Picked our own, and sampled while we did it. The apples were so juicy. The apple cider, and cider slushes were are great. The walk is very good only a slight decline slope.”
“I'm sure there are other fruits, but we go for the apples. They are so delicious! I appreciate being able to buy seconds at a great price for applesauce. The cider is fantastic and the frozen cider is heaven!”
“This Fruit Market was probably the best I've been to. They had plenty of variety of apples as well as other produce . The fruit was fresh and crisp. The owner was super friendly.”
“This was an excellent experience! We were pleasantly surprised by the selection and friendly service. Simple and straightforward, apples and cider. Highly recommend.”
