The Blueberry Patch

“Stopped in for lunch at The Blueberry Patch on Saturday, June 6th, right in the middle of the lunch rush, and I have to give a shoutout to Emily at the hostess stand. When we arrived, two large reservations were being seated and the couple in front of us was told there would be about a 20-minute wait. Unfortunately, they took that news like it was a personal attack. There was huffing, puffing, dramatic sighing, and a demand to speak with a manager—all over a completely reasonable wait during a busy lunch rush. Through it all, Emily was calm, professional, respectful, and incredibly patient. She handled the situation with far more grace than I could have while I stood behind them trying not to laugh. The manager backed her up completely, which was great to see. Also, Jake was our server and, as always, he was fantastic. Friendly, fun, attentive, and one of the big reasons we keep coming back. Great food, great service, and a staff that somehow manages to stay professional even when dealing with people who think restaurant wait lists should revolve around them. We'll definitely be back!”

“Visited here on a road trip. The Blueberry Patch / 1285 has it all, and Steve and his family were such incredible hosts! The location is one turn off the major interstate and there is plenty of room to maneuver your rig. The grounds are a stunning working blueberry farm (you pick in July) and the location includes a beautiful restaurant/winery that doubles as a wedding venue (for obvious reasons as it is so pretty) with a small horse farm (carriage horses). We were lucky enough to arrive on a day love music was scheduled and the band + food + drinks + atmosphere was excellent. There is even an extensive gift shop and (seasonal) sunflower patch. Really a complete destination, we will absolutely be making plans to return.”

“Three of us shared appetizers of baked feta and baked brie. Also had the 1285 burger. All of the food was very good. Also did some wine samples of Merlot, Blueberry Bliss, Apple Cider Wine and Cranberry. Everything was absolutely delicious!”

“Very nice place to visit. We stayed overnight in our rv. They were very accommodating. Nice giftshop and can't wait to have the wine. Good food in the restaurant too. You need to give this place a try.”

“We have been to the new building twice so far and were very impressed both times. It is beautiful inside. Our meals were delicious and the service was prompt. There is a really cute gift shop.”
