Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“What a friendly amazing little stop. We got a load of pumpkins gourds and some hay. Super friendly operator with great prices. Looking forward to going back in different seasons for their other items”

“Love to go every year and pick our own delicious strawberries. Once you've had strawberries from here buying them at the grocery store is nothing but a let down.”

“The flea market was spectacular this year! Huge! Lots of goodies and finally a cool day to enjoy all the booths.”

“Got our carving pumpkins, some acorn squash, and decorative corn”

“Great time. Great price. Beautiful family day.”

“Berry picking was good, but with the rain either they were rotted or not ready yet. We still got what we wanted, but had to really search”

“Wish I could give this a 0 star! Owner was very rude and basically acted like we were stealing. Her grandson told our family we could go pick Pumkins and leave the money in the box. So we put $30 in and then continued on to pick out 6 Pumkins as they are $5 to pick your own. She counted 3 in my brothers car and then started to walk to my car. While she did that, my brother was holding our very old sick dog who was spending his last day with us before we had to put him down. She told hin "MOVE OUT OF MY WAY, I`m not a dog person. We explained to her after she was so rude about our little guys situation and she said "I don't care, you can`t pick pumkins in the dark. We told her that her grandson said we could come out here to pick pumkins. So she said "I don't care what my grandson told you! Then she asked why we needed 3 vehicles. We told her our dog is very loved by many and we are all trying to cherish our last moments with him. She continued to tell us we can't be picking pumpkins in the dark. Well our 1st visit here will be our last. We were all grieving over the fact that we were spending our last day with our dog and had to experience this. I really do believe our family is owed an apology. We didn't steal and we even let her check our vehicles when she came over. We legit took 6 Pumpkins and only took photos in front of another. This was very unfriendly and I hope she will realize someday how she really put a damper on our day.”
