Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Colorado.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“If you have little ones, this is a perfect place to take them to experience feeding and petting rescue farm animals. You get a brown lunch bag filled with carrots and apples. My granddaughter LOVES the chickens, bunnies, horses, goats, and pigs! It's a great learning experience and all the animals are gentle. Nancy is the kindest, most pleasant person ever! I have reserved a date for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday party. I'll add more after we have it. I'm sure it will be amazing since it includes each child getting a big bag of food. Also, I have added a horse ride for each child. Should be memorable! BTW, you can also purchase fresh eggs from the chickens here! I'm hooked!”
