“My experience at the Strawberry Hill Christmas Tree Farm was amazing. I usually come here every year with my parents but it’s my first year on my own with my family, and it was magical. Finding a tree was easy and exciting. The staff greeted my family with hospitality and kindness. Unfortunately, there isn’t cider or cookies anymore due to covid-19, however it was just as amazing. Thank you to the staff that stand out in the cold all day and work hard so we can have a great holiday season.”

“Best customer service --even the younger kids helping were knowledgable and well-mannered. This is our third year and we have always been impressed with the quality of trees, nice and full. We enjoy the experience of wandering through the trees, picking and cutting our own, and drinking hot cider at the end. The tree is always tied securely for our drive back to KC.”

“Picked up a lush green 6 foot tree and very happy with it. Super easy process too. Pick out the tree, tell someone, pull up with truck and they wrap it and cut it and everything for you. They also load it too! Super friendly, and they had two cute dogs roaming the fields 😊 definitely coming back next year! Merry Christmas!!!”

“We go every year to cut down our own tree. The tractor ride makes it easy to get to the years area of trees. We Lso enjoy grabbing a fresh wreath on our way to pay. The area where you pay is a cute little gift shop with older toys and crafts. My one complaint is you only have a teeny cup to fill with apple cider 😄”

“Everyone at strawberry hills farm is caring and generous and so helpful. We live getting our trees from here. They are so beautiful and healthy. They also smell so great. Thanks for another wonderful year. Can't wait to continue to come.”

“My family and I decided to give this farm a try as we had been by it multiple times and had not been. I've had real trees my entire life but typically go to a Kansas City farm. First impressions were good upon pulling in however it didn't last long. After we parked and were walking up the drive one of the owners asked us to move so more cars could get through. We were all walking in a single file line along the edge of the drive And she put us in the grass. Which would not have been a huge deal however it was muddy and the cars could pass us just fine without us being in the grass. We stuck it out and listened to her explain the tree farm to us and where things were and decided to look at the Scotch pines which are choose and cut. This farm is divided into "photo trees" and "choose and cut trees" The issue here is that the trees only used for photo props are gorgeous. Tall, full, and beautifully shaped. The choose and cut trees very much appear less taken care of. In addition, there aren't nearly as many trees that you can cut as there are for photos. I understand people wanting to take family photos in a Christmas tree farm however the point of a Christmas tree farm is to find a Christmas tree for your family. In my opinion the trees used for photos Don't need to be in nearly as big of a space as they have it because it severely limits your options on what you can cut and take. We looked for about 45 minutes but there was just not many options and we decided to go elsewhere. I will say that the choose and cut area is right next to the driveway everyone drives past to come in or out and we only saw two cars leaving with trees in that time but many cars leaving without trees. This was a real miss for me which was unfortunate because they appear to have the space and the trees as well. But it appears they put much more emphasis on photography than actual Christmas trees you can cut for your family.”

“Charged us $30 for taking pictures of our families by the trees. (We weren’t paying a photographer or anything. My friend just has a camera and had never been to a Christmas tree farm before so we thought it would be fun). The owner Mark Said “you wouldn’t want someone coming in your backyard to take photos would you?” We intentionally stayed out of the area that said photo permit required but I guess it’s the whole property that you cannot take photos without permission. Got a rude lecture from the owner Mark and had to ask him to stop lecturing me as we were trying to get out of there. I Venmo’s him standing there freezing and he didn’t even trust I sent him the money. Made me show him my phone to confirm. Just so rude.”

“Very disappointing experience. Very few trees available to cut - none that I would consider. People were actually cutting the upper halves off of taller trees to make one the size they needed. As someone before had mentioned they have a couple of acres of beautiful trees - but that entire area was off limits for customers. I have no idea why. By next season those will all be too tall for most people's homes. And the prices for those you could cut were way out of line for the quality. We will not be returning.”
