Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in South Carolina.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Payment notes on file: American Express, Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“Most amazing strawberries, you'll find anywhere. We bought the gallon bucket of strawberries. I tell you what, the care taken to pack the berries was noticed. Not a single crushed, bruised, or over ripened berry in the bucket. They are huge too! It's a great location. There's more space than the stand in Gaffney, but both have beautiful seasonal items. Across the street is the ice cream/burger stand. Super friendly staff, in both places. Nice drive to get there too. Don't sleep on any of their locations. Pies, jarred goods, fresh boiled peanuts, seasonal fruit and veggies, and more if ya meander a inside a bit. Love these guys!”

“We went to Strawberry Hill USA looking for pumpkins and honey. We hadn’t been in a couple of years and we weren’t disappointed. There were school age children there on a field trip and boy did that bring back a ton of memories. They have pumpkins, apples, cider, candy, jams, preserves, honey, syrups, hay and Indian corn. We might get to the corn maze this year but I don’t know. We tried the cafe and it was delicious. Monty had the big boy burger and I had the hotdogs. Everything hit the spot and from now on when we go to get anything from there we will be stopping in. Great friendly place to grab a bite to eat❤️🙏🏽”

“Came in as a truck driver to pick up strawberries and the wonderful man assured me even though I was coming in at 10:30 at night, his guys would load me and they were excellent!!!! As a trucker this kind of services means the world to us. Plus I loved the words of encouragement I saw in the office. Thank you for your service and yes I recommend this place just by how I was treated as a trucker. 👌🏻Us truckers don’t get treated good at many places, so we don’t take this for granted.”

“Strawberry Hill and the Cooley Family Farms in Chesnee, SC, are just phenomenal. They have the best fruits and veggies from farm to table. In July, it's the place to be for delicious blackberries and peaches. They also offer fresh vegetables, such as yellow squash, cucumbers, watermelons, cantaloupes and okra. It's very kid-friendly with lots to do. They also have a great restaurant with the best ice cream in the country. You just gotta go.”

“Amazing! We stumbled across Strawberry Hill by accident, but they are amazing. They offer some of the best strawberries our family has ever had. They have amazing strawberry and peach cider, strawberry donuts, muffins, and so many other amazing treats. If you feel like taking a beautiful southern drive, this is a place to stop by and grab a few treats.”

“Strawberry Hill is a great place for seasonal fruits and vegetables plus pickles, jams, jellies, pies, and all things Southern. It’s a 30 minute drive from Spartanburg and worth your time. When in season, their strawberries and peaches are delicious.”

“Fun field trip with Meeting Street Academy!!! My son's 3k class went, the strawberries are so delicious and they gave us some to take home as well as ice cream🍓🍓🍓 Fun fact: The property boasts 3,000 acres and has been on the Cooley family since the late 1700's! I will definitely visit again on another field trip or purchase fresh strawberries 🍓”

“Were there yesterday 4/18/26. They were very busy.. watermelon we purchased was I guess over ripped.. it was terrible. We purchased other items strawberries… I guess these along with the watermelon was shipped in because they were not very good either. Could not eat the watermelon at all. Very disappointed considering I live within an hour away and shop there often. Greenville County here. Leaving pics.”
