Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This little country store was a good closer on our orchard hopping. They had a lot of pumpkins - peanut pumpkins were really fun to see! - and fall flowers for sale, lots of good Wisconsin produce, meats, and cheeses, all with reasonable prices.”
“Wonderful U-pick strawberry place, you always end up picking way more than you came for. The berries were beautiful and plump and absolutely sweet! Can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this place until now!”
“We picked 30 pounds of strawberries and they were the best we have ever had. Freeze great, still eat them everyday in our smoothies. So happy to have this local spot for fresh produce 😊”
“Love Love Love it! Nice selection of apples and other produce. All kinds of delectable goodies. And Christmas trees to top it off. Nice people wonderful place!”
“Sunrise Orchards is a great place to visit. They have the best apples and apple cider donuts.”
“Fun experience every fall. Apple Cider Donuts are fantastic.”
“tart strawberry, Friendly service”
“Overzealous Nurse Ratchet-type really needs a chill-pill. After making a purchase, we were standing by our cars in the parking lot saying goodbye to old friends that we hadn't seen for years. This Nurse-Ratchet-like character kept peeking around the corner at us like she was afraid we were going to steal a pumpkin or something. This happened for 5 straight minutes. She kept giving us dirty looks and staring at our kids. Really soured our experience visiting all the great orchards in the area. Won't bother stopping at this orchard ever again.”
